Happy NEW Year family 😻 If you walked into my house right now; this would probably be happening 😛

Which is also why hydration is so key 🔑 for me. Water is the most underutilized tool when it comes to health and we can change that 🔻

- In fact, a pretty good way to roughly calculate how much water YOU need DAILY is to multiply your weight (in kgs) by 0.033 and then adjust for your ‘activity level’. In general, for each 30 mins of training you need to add about 350ml more 🥤

- Why I added alkaline water with electrolytes to my day 🔻

Electrolytes are minerals that conduct electricity when dissolved in water and use their electrical energy for important functions like controlling fluid balance, regulating blood pressure and helping muscles contract, including the heart.

The concentration of electrolytes in beverages/ energy drinks vary; some also come with added carbs. BUT, this one’s carb free 🙌🏻

Blend together - 1 cup chopped, frozen mango + 2 tablespoon coconut cream + ice + stevia, optional + water, if needed

That’s 160 very good calories 👌🏻

Remember fruit doesn’t make you fat. Its all the other things that are usually added to it. Eat well and eat smart friends!

HOW TO MAKE REALLY GOOD PASTA AT HOME | Better Than Take Out Pasta at home has 1 very critical trick to it 👇🏻

Always cook your pasta this way and it’ll upgrade every recipe restaurant style:
It’s essential that you only cook the pasta until it’s ‘al dente’. This means the pasta is cooked on the outside but still firm on the inside, when bitten.

If your boiled your pasta before adding it to any recipe, make sure you turn the fire off when the pasta is just more than half done. Then run it through cold water so it stops cooking further. You can serve it as it is, toss it in lemon juice, olive oil and salt or add to a sauce/ stir fry and cook for a few seconds further.

Hack #5 leaves your pasta 🍝 more crunchy; it doesn’t break or end up mushy.

This recipe:
Boil your pasta as mentioned above and drain. Heat 2 teaspoon olive oil in a pan on medium/ high heat and add your pasta + a few tablespoons of your pasta water. Let cook for 1-2 mins and then add 2 teaspoon oyster sauce + 2 teaspoon soy sauce + juice of 1/2 lemon + 1 teaspoon sriracha sauce + 1/2 sachet stevia. Toss the pasta once and finally add 1 tablespoon tahini paste.

Optional ad ins - green onions, sesame seeds, garlic, roasted peanuts 🥜

Who else is freaking out over their gains right now 🤯 | quarantine hack #3!

1 cup of this cheese has 163 calories, 28g protein, 6g carb and 2g fat. This makes it the cleanest source of protein other than meat 🥩 here’s all you have to do 👇🏻

Bring 1 litre milk to a boil and then leave it in the fridge over night so that you can easily skim the extra fat layer that forms over it in the morning. After skimming the milk, bring it to a boil again. Once it begins to simmer reduce the flame and mix in 1/2 tea spoon salt. Then stir in 1/2 cup low fat yogurt OR 1.5 table spoon lemon juice and let the milk cook through until it begins to split.

You will see the milk separate into cheese curds and a greenish whey water. Line a sieve with a muslin cloth or cheese cloth and place this over another vessel. Strain the cheese into the cheesecloth and collect the whey into the bottom.

Once the whey has strained out, you can use the cottage cheese as it is 🍚 or add to a protein shake/ oat bowl/ sandwich or stir fry 😋
