Gas Explosion Incident at Garrison Cadet College Kohat

It is with deep sorrow that we inform our Garrisonian community of a tragic incident that occurred at Garrison Cadet College Kohat on 21 October 2025 at approximately 0900 hours.

A gas leak led to an explosion at the residential quarter of one of our faculty members, Mr. Hassan Khalid.

Casualties & Injuries:

Sadly, two of his children 3 and 4 years old lost their lives in this unfortunate incident.

Mr. Hassan Khalid and his wife sustained burn injuries and were immediately provided first aid. They have since been air lifted to Kharian Burn Centre for specialized medical treatment. They are in critical condition.

Prayers & Support:
We request everyone to keep the family in their prayers during this difficult time. May Allah grant the departed souls eternal peace and give strength to the bereaved family.
May Allah bless Sir Hassan Khalid and his wife with speedy recovery.

Tomorrow marks the 13th martyrdom anniversary of Captain Tariq Jamal Shaheed, Sitara-e-Basalat, a true hero of our nation. On August 29, 2012, he laid down his life in the line of duty during an operation against terrorists in Orakzai Agency.

As a proud member of the 118th Light Commando Battery, ex 68 Field Artillery, and 6 Commando Battalion SSG, Captain Tariq Jamal Shaheed, Sitara-e-Basalat embodied the spirit of bravery and sacrifice. His ultimate sacrifice will never be forgotten by the nation.

We, as Garrisonians, are honored to remember his legacy. His selfless act of giving up his life so that others may live is a testament to his unwavering commitment to our nation. As the Quran reminds us, "And do not think of those who are slain in Allah's way as dead. Nay, they live, finding their sustenance in the presence of their Lord" (Quran 3:169).

We pay tribute to Captain Tariq Jamal Shaheed, Sitara-e-Basalat, memory, and his sacrifice will forever be etched in our hearts. May his love for the nation and his bravery continue to inspire us. We owe him a debt of gratitude, and his memory will live on in our hearts forever

Truly honoured and grateful to the community and to the donor for helping a brother in need…..

This gives us (OGA Body) to salute to the amazing community and the bonding that has developed in pst years since the current Body has actively worked to make this community and turn it into a fraternity for life…..

I on behalf of the entire Team salute to Brig (R) Munnawar to bring us onboard, Brig (R) Nadeem to guide us and Brig Hamid Jamil to guide and give a free hand to strengthen this community and run it through thick and thin……

Today it gives me the opportunity to share our mission to bring all Garrisonians to one page and be there to support one another…..

Today we have become a great family to feel proud of us being Garrisonians for life…..

We did manage and managing many other members of the community with education and many silent heroes (Garrisonians) are helping each other one way the other in times of need and Allah will reward them all helping and those sincerely taking the initiative to help others in time of need…..

Salute to all Garrisonians and to all the principals , Adjutants, teachers and employees of GCCK in trusting us and making it happen for the community…..

On the occasion of the first birthday of Shaheed Lt Col Mohammad Ali Shoukat, Zangi House, 4th Entry, Diamond Batch, after his martyrdom, The Garrisonians Association pays rich tribute to his supreme sacrifice for the motherland. He stood tall with courage and dignity, laying down his life in the line of duty and becoming a source of pride for the entire nation and for all Garrisonians. His noble character, commitment, and unwavering spirit will forever remain an inspiration for generations to come. We also acknowledge with great respect the role of his honorable parents and dedicated siblings, who nurtured him with the values of integrity, patriotism, and service to humanity. Their sacrifice and patience are truly exemplary. Mohammad Ali Shoukat was the younger brother of Senior Ex Garrisonian, Mohammad Asad Shoukat, Pioneers Batch, Zangi house.
On this solemn occasion, we request prayers for his highest ranks in Jannah-ul-Firdous and for continued strength, mercy, and blessings upon his family.
