On the occasion of World Liver Day, Fauji Foundation Hospital Lahore organized an awareness session highlighting the importance of liver health. Dr. Sonia Saleem,Gastroenterologist emphasized the vital functions of the liver and the need to maintain a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle. She also highlighted that fatty liver disease is becoming increasingly common in Pakistan. Regular liver checkups and timely liver function tests were encouraged to ensure early diagnosis and prevention of liver-related diseases. The patients participated fully by asking questions from her.

Fauji Foundation Hospital Lahore observed World TB Day on 24th March 2026 with an awareness session in the General OPD. Pulmonologist Dr. Mohsin Rasheed delivered an informative lecture highlighting tuberculosis as a serious lung disease prevalent in Pakistan, and a large number of patients attended with keen interest. He emphasized timely diagnosis, adherence to anti-tuberculosis treatment, and also explained the importance of a protein-rich diet.The session was interactive, with patients actively asking questions which were addressed in detail. The lecture concluded with the message that TB is a curable disease if properly treated and should never be ignored.

The Nutrition Department at Fauji Foundation Hospital Lahore conducted an awareness session in the General OPD regarding dietary management during Ramadan for patients with diabetes and hypertension. Three nutritionists actively participated and delivered informative lectures to the patients. They explained the importance of balanced meals during Sehri and Iftari, highlighting which foods are beneficial and which should be avoided by diabetic and hypertensive patients. Visual aids and pictures were used to clearly demonstrate healthy food choices for fasting individuals. The session helped patients understand how proper nutrition during Ramadan can help control blood sugar and blood pressure levels while fasting. 🌙🥗
