Fauji Foundation Hospital Lahore observed World TB Day on 24th March 2026 with an awareness session in the General OPD. Pulmonologist Dr. Mohsin Rasheed delivered an informative lecture highlighting tuberculosis as a serious lung disease prevalent in Pakistan, and a large number of patients attended with keen interest. He emphasized timely diagnosis, adherence to anti-tuberculosis treatment, and also explained the importance of a protein-rich diet.The session was interactive, with patients actively asking questions which were addressed in detail. The lecture concluded with the message that TB is a curable disease if properly treated and should never be ignored.

The Nutrition Department at Fauji Foundation Hospital Lahore conducted an awareness session in the General OPD regarding dietary management during Ramadan for patients with diabetes and hypertension. Three nutritionists actively participated and delivered informative lectures to the patients. They explained the importance of balanced meals during Sehri and Iftari, highlighting which foods are beneficial and which should be avoided by diabetic and hypertensive patients. Visual aids and pictures were used to clearly demonstrate healthy food choices for fasting individuals. He educated patients about early warning signs of kidney disease, particularly in individuals suffering from diabetes and hypertension. Emphasis was placed on regular renal function tests, a balanced diet, adequate water intake, and reduced salt consumption to protect kidney health. Dr. Major Saima Qayyum, Consultant Gynecologist, delivered an informative lecture on obesity, its harmful side effects, and practical ways to achieve healthy weight loss. She particularly highlighted the impact of obesity on young girls, including hormonal imbalance, menstrual irregularities, infertility, and increased risk of PCOS and diabetes. The Nutrition Department also conducted a detailed session on balanced diet planning, portion control, and healthy lifestyle modifications. The event concluded with a strong message promoting preventive healthcare and encouraging a healthier future for our community.

Fauji Foundation Hospital Lahore observed World Tropical Disease Day on 30th January 2026 with an awareness session in the General OPD.
Dr. Ali Sherazi, Medical Specialist, delivered an informative lecture on common tropical diseases.

The second day of BLS and ACLS training is being conducted dated 28 Jan 2026, with active and enthusiastic participation from all attendees. Under the guidance of Dr. RF, Anesthesiologist, participants are receiving hands-on training in airway management. As evident in the session, practical learning focused on endotracheal intubation, including the correct technique of passing the ETT and its critical role in life-saving interventions. The training is being attended by a diverse group of healthcare professionals, including nutritionists, dentists, MIDs, staff nurses, doctors, and OTAs. Such multidisciplinary participation reflects the hospital’s strong commitment to enhancing emergency response and patient safety.
