Saudi Arabia has recently implemented a new policy known as "Visa on Arrival" to promote tourism in the country. This policy allows tourists with valid visas from the UK, US, or Schengen countries to obtain their Saudi visa upon arrival. The primary objective is to attract more visitors to explore the country's captivating attractions, especially the holy sites of Makkah and Medina.
Although the visa on arrival facility is not yet applicable to Pakistani passport holders, those with valid visas from the UK, US, or Schengen countries can take advantage of this opportunity. Whether traveling for business or leisure purposes, individuals must have already utilized their UK, US, or Schengen visa before entering Saudi Arabia.
Under the visa on arrival program, visitors can enjoy a maximum stay of 90 days in the kingdom and have the freedom to explore various cities without any restrictions on their movements.
It's important to note that certain conditions must be met to avail this visa on arrival facility. Firstly, the visa must be valid upon arrival in Saudi Arabia and remain valid throughout the visit. Secondly, the passport of the visa holder must bear the entry visa stamp from the country that issued the visa.
The General Authority for Civil Aviation (GACA) has also urged national carriers to review their previous entry conditions for visa holders from these Western countries. The visa fee for Pakistani passport holders utilizing the visa on arrival service is $120 or 450 Saudi Riyals.
