Forman Psychological Services Center-FPSC Welcome to Forman Psychological Services Center (FPSC) -TSA: Addressing Mental Health, Healing Lives

FPSC is an outpatient psychological, emotional, and behavioral health center, established in 2023 by the Department of Psychology (FCCU). FPSC provides confidential services, such as individual, group, and family counseling. Here psychological assessments and training in crisis intervention are also provided. we are closely connected with other professionals in the community so that we can refer clients to them if needed.

On 25th September, Forman Psychological Services Center (FPSC) organized a workshop on the Assessment and Management of Non-Suicidal Self-Harm (NSSH), conducted by Dr. Saima Majeed.

People-pleasing is often misunderstood as simply being โ€œkindโ€ or โ€œeasygoing,โ€ but in reality, for many, it can be a trauma-response. When someone grows up in an environment where love, safety, or acceptance was conditional, they may learn to silence their own needs and constantly prioritize others as a way of staying safe, avoiding conflict, or maintaining connection. Over time, this turns into a coping mechanism, automatically trying to keep everyone else happy to reduce the risk of rejection, criticism, or harm.

In other words, people-pleasing isnโ€™t just a personality trait, it can be a survival strategy rooted in early experiences.
