The Department of Haematology & Transfusion Medicine, University of Child Health Sciences, The Children’s Hospital, Lahore, in collaboration with Sundus Foundation, successfully organized a Pre-PAP Conference Seminar on “Haemoglobinopathies: Diagnostic Challenges and Role of NGS” attended by more than 70 participants in person and more than 100 virtually.
The seminar featured distinguished speakers who delivered insightful presentations on advances in the diagnosis and management of haemoglobinopathies, including genetic testing, safe transfusion practices, and the role of next-generation sequencing (NGS). The event was graced by Prof. Dr. Sajid Maqbool as Cheif guest Prof. Dr. Masood Sadiq and Prof. Dr. Junaid Rashid , Prof. Dr. Nisar Ahmed, Prof. Dr. Samina Naeem, Prof. Dr. Joveria Mannan, as Guests of honor.
Heartfelt thanks were extended to all the honourable speakers for their valuable contributions and engaging discussions, which greatly enriched the academic experience for participants.
The seminar, organized under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Saima Farhan and coordinated by Dr. Neelam Mazhar, provided an excellent platform for clinicians, researchers, and postgraduate trainees to exchange knowledge and explore innovations in haemoglobinopathy diagnostics.
