On this IDPD 3rd December 2025, Milestone has conducted an awareness session with University Students and an Awareness Walk for the promotion of peace and tolerance in the society to eliminate violent extremism and countering terrorism.
This activity was held under the project titled “Resilience and Advocacy for Victims of Terrorism with Disabilities” on 3rd December 2025, International Day of Persons with Disabilities funded by the European Union (EU) in collaboration with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA).

Milestone Society for the Special Persons conducted awareness session in Multan under the project titled “Resilience and Advocacy for Victims of Terrorism with Disabilities” on 23rd October 2025 funded by the European Union (EU) in collaboration with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA). The dignities who graced the Occasion with their Valued Presence include United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA), Mr. Abdul Aziz, Deputy Director Social Welfare and Mr. Javed Iqbal, Director Programs, Doaba Foundation. The victims of terrorism who were identified, assessed and provided with independent living self-management training and customized assistive devices attended the awareness session.
The honorable guests speaking on the occasion appreciated this pertinent initiative of Milestone and United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) for the facilitation of the Victims of Terrorism for the creation of right based and peaceful society for all, they emphasized on preventing violence extremism as it is important for peace building in Pakistan. The Milestone project with UNODC is progressive in terms of countering violence extremism in Pakistan and we as a nation have to strive hard to promote peace in country.

Mr. Hussain Haider visited Milestone Society for the Specail Person heading a delegation of Universities Faculty Members across Pakistan, the operations and services of Milestone were unfolded specially the project recently completed namely "Say No to Terrorism, Advocacy Through the Victims of Terrorism" for the said delegation that was much appreciated and served as a source of inspiration.
