Understanding more abstract questions, like "how does Ben feel?" and "why is the floor muddy?" fall within Levels 3 and 4 (these are known as Blank Levels). These questions can be really tricky for some of our children, especially if they have not secured their understanding of Blank Levels 1 and 2 first.

Do your children do chores at home? Do you know which chores are appropriate for their age? Doing chores at home can build independence, and when you are demonstrating the chores to your child you can support their language skills through use lots of repetition, relavant vocabulary, singing songs, sequencing etc. We're sure this list will spark some ideas!
