Smile Train proudly welcomes its newest partner hospital, Arif Memorial Teaching Hospital. Led by Prof. Muhammad Afzal Sheikh and Dr. Farrukh Mahmood, the Arif Memorial team kicked off the start of the partnership in grand fashion: performing 40 free cleft surgeries in their first 3 days!

This remarkable start shows the team’s skills, dedication and commitment to helping children with cleft and the need for our programs in the area.

We look forward to a long and fruitful partnership to provide free cleft lip and palate surgery and related care to children.

Arif Memorial Teaching Hospital under the banner of Talat Rashid Trust arranged a get together to appreciate the work of Dr. Rashid Latif Khan for the well being of deserving and down trodden people who cannot afford the heavy expenses of medical treatment. The event was held on June, the 28 at Pearl Continental Hotel, Lahore.

Famous people from all walks of life participated in the event on the invitation of Dr. Rashid Latif Khan. The names of participants are as under:

Inzimam ul Haq , Saith Aabid, Ahsan Waheed, D.C.O. Kasur, Shahid Hamid, Ex.Governor, Punjab, Nayyar Ali Dada, Architect, Jugno Mohsin, Aitzaz Ahsan and the members of Rotary Club.

The objective to hold the event was to appreciate the great work of Professor Doctor Rashid Latif Khan and to launch a fund raising campaign to help support the Talat Rashid Trust in the pursuit of well being and betterment of the poor patients who cannot bear the cost of medical treatment.

All the executive members of the trust and Professor Doctor Rashid Latif Khan himself say a very warm thanks to all those who make them feel proud by their participation in the event.
