Post-Operative Pancreatic Fistula (POPF) – Early Detection Saves Lives

Post-operative pancreatic fistula is one of the most important complications after pancreatic surgery. It happens when pancreatic fluid leaks from the surgical connection or cut surface of the pancreas.

🩺 Why does it happen?
After pancreatic surgery, digestive enzymes can leak if the healing is delayed or the pancreatic duct is soft/narrow.

⚠️ Early signs to watch for:
