Corporate Social Responsibility Policy Statement
This statement is about how Lalpir Power Limited takes account of its economic, social and environmental impact in the way it operates as a business. By demonstrating our commitment to corporate social responsibility we aim to align our business values, purpose and strategy with the needs of our clients, whilst embedding such responsible and ethical principles into everything we do.
Lalpir since inception have consistently worked for the uplift of communities that are influenced directly or indirectly by our business. The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program of Lalpir is based on the principles of transparency, accountability, integrity and sustainability. Community and stakeholder needs are carefully assessed and strategic support is extended in line with the Company’s Policies, Code of Business Ethics and business objectives. Lalpir take its responsibilities to society seriously. We want to be perceived as a good neighbor within the communities where we are present, and to contribute to worthy causes wherever and whenever we can.
As part of this process, we have developed a policy that governs the way that we help charities. To this end, a Social Responsibility Committee (SRC) has been established with members representing each team/area. The committee meets regularly to make decisions about which charities to support, discuss the ongoing projects and how best to help the surrounding community.
Our CSR program has focused on Healthcare, education, environment and infrastructure. The initiatives undertaken seek to ensure that there is clear value addition and that the real impact is made at the grassroots level.
The CSR program of Lalpir is enacted in partnership with qualified, well-respected and reputable NGOs and other organizations, with an impeccable track record. Over the years the partners have been organizations that are widely recognized for their sterling work in their respective fields.
CSR Initiatives:
Lalpir has a comprehensive program for local community to develop the community and supporting their basic needs:
The company is managing a clinic that is fully equipped with emergency facilities and diagnostics laboratory for the local community.
LalPir are arranging special Health and eye camps for the patients of nearby communities. Also support is being provided to patients of serious diseases on case to case basis.
Continuing support in terms of fully funded TCF schools in local community. Also running a little angle program for the free education to the house maids working in employee’s community.
The company has upgraded many local government institutions like Vocational Training Institute and higher secondary school.
Adopted 5 Government schools in the vicinity with collaboration of Care Foundation.
Extensive Plantation of trees
Lalpir has built/upgrade the infrastructure in the surrounding community like building houses damaged by flood, roads, bridges, drinking water etc. on as and when required basis.
