Scientists have achieved a groundbreaking milestone in the fight against HIV by developing a CRISPR-based therapy that removes HIV DNA from infected human cells and prevents the virus from returning. This revolutionary approach targets the viral genetic material directly, effectively erasing HIV from the cell’s genome and halting its ability to replicate.

In laboratory studies, treated cells showed no signs of viral rebound, offering a potential pathway toward a permanent cure for HIV, a disease that has affected millions globally. Unlike traditional antiretroviral therapies, which only suppress the virus, this CRISPR therapy tackles the root cause, providing hope for a one-time treatment with long-lasting effects.

Researchers emphasise that while early results are promising, further studies and clinical trials are required to ensure safety and efficacy in humans. If successful, this therapy could transform HIV treatment and bring the world closer to ending the HIV/AIDS epidemic once and for all.

پاکستان میں ایچ۔پی۔وی (HPV) ویکسین پروگرام_

پاکستان کی حکومت نے نو سے چودہ سال کی عمر کی بچیوں کو ایک محفوظ مستقبل دینے کے لیے ایچ۔پی۔وی (HPV)ویکسینیشن پروگرام کا آغاز کیا ہے۔ اس ویکسین کا مقصد بچیوں کو ایک مہلک بیماری یعنی سر ویکل کینسر (Cervical Cancer) سے بچانا ہے۔
سر ویکل کینسر دنیا بھر میں خواتین کو متاثر کرنے والا دوسرا بڑا کینسر ہے، اور اس کی بنیادی وجہ ایک وائرس ہے جسے ہیومن پیپیلوما وائرس (HPV) کہا جاتا ہے۔ یہ وائرس زندگی کے بعد کے مراحل میں کینسر پیدا کر سکتا ہے۔
ایچ۔پی۔وی ویکسین بچیوں کو 9 سے 14 سال کی عمر میں لگائی جاتی ہے کیونکہ اس عمر میں جسم کا مدافعتی نظام مضبوط ہوتا ہے اور ویکسین زیادہ مؤثر ثابت ہوتی ہے۔ اس اقدام کا مقصد مستقبل میں خواتین کی صحت کی حفاظت اور معاشرے کو ایک بڑے صحت کے بوجھ سے بچانا ہے۔
یہ پروگرام عالمی ادارہ صحت (WHO) کی سفارشات کے مطابق شروع کیا گیا ہے تاکہ آنے والی نسلیں سر ویکل کینسر سے محفوظ رہ سکیں۔

A safety awareness event was conducted at Social Security BHU Mandi Bahauddin under the guidance of respected RESCUE 1122 team which includes a Mock Fire Drill & Basic Life Support (BLS) training.
