Our colleague, Dr. Ayesha Sohail, TMO Medicine at Saidu Group of Teaching Hospitals, Swat, has been diagnosed with highly aggressive Grade 3 Invasive Breast Carcinoma. Her treatment plan is extensive.
Despite serving in the healthcare sector, there is no government policy to financially support healthcare workers battling life-threatening diseases. Dr. Ayesha dedicated her life to saving others now she needs our support to save her own.

آج کل ہماری سوسائٹی میں "کویکس" یعنی جعلی ڈاکٹروں کی تعداد بہت بڑھ گئی ہے۔ جنہوں نے ہر گلی، محلے میں اپنے کلینک کھول رکھے ہیں۔ اکثر سرکاری اسپتالوں میں کام کرنے والے سویپرز بھی شام کو اپنا ذاتی کلینک چلاتے ہیں۔ انہیں صرف اتنا پتہ ہوتا ہے کہ بخار میں کون سی دوا یا انجیکشن دینا ہے، مگر اصل تشخیص (Diagnosis) کا کوئی علم نہیں ہوتا کہ بخار کیوں ہو رہا ہے، اس کی اصل وجہ کیا ہے۔
یہ لوگ اپنی مرضی سے وہ ادویات دیتے ہیں جن میں انہیں زیادہ منافع ہوتا ہے، جیسے کہ اینٹی انفلیمیٹری (NSAIDs) اور سٹیرائیڈز۔ بخار کی مثال صرف ایک چھوٹی مثال ہے، یہ لوگ کئی دوسرے بیماریوں میں بھی غلط دوائیں دیتے ہیں جن کے صحت پر دیرپا اور خطرناک اثرات ہوتے ہیں۔

اب بات صرف چھوٹے موٹے جعلی ڈاکٹروں تک محدود نہیں رہی۔ آج کل ایک بڑا فراڈ بھی چل رہا ہے، جس کا نام حیدر علی مہمند ہے، جو پہلے ریڈیو پر RJ تھا اور اب مختلف شہروں میں "ہسپتال" کے نام پر کاروبار کر رہا ہے۔ یہ شخص لوگوں کو گمراہ کر رہا ہے کہ وہ ہر بیماری کا علاج کرتا ہے، یہاں تک کہ ہرنیا اور سیلیک ڈیزیز جیسی لاعلاج بیماریوں کا بھی "دوائیوں سے" علاج کرنے کا دعویٰ کرتا ہے۔
یہ شخص خود ساختہ ویڈیوز بنا کر سادہ لوح عوام کو بے وقوف بنا رہا ہے اور ان سے بھاری رقوم وصول کر رہا ہے، بعض اوقات 20،000 سے 25،000 روپے تک کی دوائیں لکھ دیتا ہے جو درحقیقت زیادہ تر سٹیرائیڈز اور خطرناک NSAIDs ہوتی ہیں، جو وقتی طور پر آرام دیتی ہیں لیکن طویل مدت میں جان لیوا ثابت ہو سکتی ہیں۔

آج کسی بھی سرکاری ہسپتال کے میڈیسن وارڈ کا چکر لگائیں، تو ہر تیسرے بیڈ پر آپ کو گردوں کے مریض ملیں گے — اور ان میں 80 فیصد کیسز میں وجہ یہی جعلی ڈاکٹروں کی دی گئی غلط دوائیں ہوتی ہیں۔ ان کا انجام اکثر گردوں کی مکمل ناکامی (Renal Failure) اور بالآخر موت ہوتا ہے۔
گردوں کے ساتھ ساتھ جگر کی بیماریاں بھی تیزی سے بڑھ رہی ہیں۔ اگر یہ سلسلہ ایسے ہی چلتا رہا تو جس طرح زکام نزلہ عام ہو گیا ہے، ایسے ہی جگر اور گردوں کی بیماریاں بھی عام ہو جائیں گی۔

خدارا! اپنے اور اپنے پیاروں پر رحم کریں۔ ایسے جعلی ڈاکٹروں اور حیدر علی جیسے فراڈیوں کے پاس نہ جائیں، کیونکہ صحت سب سے بڑی نعمت ہے۔ اگر یہ نہ ہو، تو زندگی کی کوئی اور نعمت بھی فائدہ نہیں دیتی — نہ مال، نہ اولاد، نہ دنیا کی کوئی چیز۔

اللہ نے اگر آپ کو تندرست جسم دیا ہے، تو اس کا خیال رکھنا بھی آپ کی ذمہ داری ہے، اور قیامت کے دن اس بارے میں سوال بھی ہوگا۔

اپنا اور اپنے پیاروں کا خیال رکھیں،
اور ایسے تمام جعلی "ڈاکٹروں" سے خود کو اور دوسروں کو بھی دور رکھیں۔

As a house officer, you’ll notice quite a few trainee registrars poking their noses into HO matters be it daily attendance, ward duties, or anything else because, let’s be honest, they can’t dare say a word to TMOs, and certainly not to APs or Professors.

Just yesterday, I was sitting in the ward while a TR was dramatically scolding an HO over the phone for not being present in the ward without permission. Sure, that’s a valid point. But not even five minutes later, the same TR was busy plotting with another TR about how to manage their own rotation duty complaining that the HOD of that department is “ too irritating” and suggesting they come up with some JUGAAR to deal with it.

There is one advice i want to give to juniors especially 1st and 2nd year students is that don't waste your time on joining these useless association and so called social societies just for the sake of getting some publicity, this is your precious time , use it for building your career preparing for competitive exams.

Few Tips For Upcoming House Officers

1) Select the most relax wards , as you will ultimately learn things at end.
2) Use your free time giving some foreign exam
3) You will see the most friendly TMOs but also " Ganrkap " TMOs who will misuse you and make you do their work , Respect everyone but always set a limit.
5) Housejob is best time in-term of responsibility cuz you won't be asked much about patients BUT you will also see your transition to Babu level where you will literally just sit Infront of computer and do things ( A harsh reality though )
6) The most important one , Never give cover to girls.
