MTI Mardan is proud to share an important and historic announcement issued by the Principal of Bacha Khan Dental College. Principal BKCD formally notified the establishment of a dedicated Orthognathic Orthodontic Department for the comprehensive management of facial deformities.
This newly designated department is the first of its kind in the entire country, marking a groundbreaking advancement in specialized dental and maxillofacial care.
This milestone represents a major step forward in integrating advanced orthodontic and orthognathic services under one specialized unit. The department will focus on the precise diagnosis, planning, and treatment of facial skeletal deformities, combining clinical expertise with modern technology to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Prof Dr Sartaj Khan is appointed as the new Head of the Orthognathic-Orthodontic Unit.
The formal notification regarding this significant appointment was issued by Principal BKCD Prof Dr Munir Khan.
The official appointment order was presented to Prof Dr Sartaj Khan in a ceremony held at the Principal BKCD office. Prof Dr Sartaj Khan is a highly respected Maxillofacial Surgeon known for his extensive expertise and long-standing commitment to BKCD. He has been a prominent figure within the field of Maxillofacial surgery and currently serves the institution in the capacity of Associate Dean.
This appointment serves as a strong acknowledgement of Dr Sartaj Khan's exceptional dedication and invaluable services rendered to the college over the years. His substantial experience, clinical knowledge and academic leadership make him the ideal professional to lead the Orthognathic-Orthodontic Unit, ensuring its continued excellence in patient care, education, and research.
