Valley Heart Nursing College Matta Swat successfully conducted a seminar on drug abuse awareness on 23 December 2025, in line with guidelines from the Higher Education Regulatory Authority (HERA). The event was held at the auditorium hall of VHIMS Matta.

The seminar aimed to educate students about the dangers of drug abuse, prevention techniques, and available rehabilitation resources. Speakers emphasized the crucial role of nursing students as future community health nurses in spreading awareness and promoting healthy lifestyles.

The role of nursing students is to educate communities, identify at-risk individuals, and provide support.

Speakers included Mr. Ayaz Shajar, Mr. Malak Shah Ayub (President PIHRO Malakand Division), Vice Principal Imtiaz Ali, and Principal Abdul Kabir, who shared valuable insights on combating drug abuse.
