Together you, we can raise awareness, and educate the general public about epilepsies.

Here’s what to do if someone is having a seizure:
1. Prevent injury by moving nearby objects out of the way.
2. Check if the person is wearing a medical bracelet or carries emergency information with more instructions.
3. Make the person as comfortable as possible.
4. Make sure their breathing is okay
5. Monitor and stay with them until the seizure passes; they should return to an awake and alert state.
6. If a seizure lasts for 5 minutes or longer, call for emergency medical help.

Have you ever wondered how a patient with diabetic eye disease sees the world?

November is Diabetic Eye Disease Awareness Month, which is a leading cause of blindness and often has no early warning signs. The good news is you can help people with diabetes prevent vision loss by encouraging them to get regular eye exams so they can catch problems early — and get timely treatment and the right follow-up care.

Every breath counts; stop pneumonia now!

Pneumonia claimed the lives of 2.5 million people, including 672,000 children, in 2019 alone. The combined effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change, and conflict are fueling a pneumonia crisis across the life course, placing millions more at risk of infection and death. In 2021, the estimated burden of deaths from respiratory infections, including COVID-19, is a massive 6 million.

Today is World Pneumonia Day, which aims to raise awareness about the deadly illness. Today is a yearly reminder that pneumonia can strike anywhere and anytime and is a serious, potentially life-threatening lung infection.

4. Avoid toxins.
