Dr. Ejaz Ahmed , Mirpur is currently serving as Medical Superintendent at the Divisional Headquarters Teaching Hospital . He holds a in and Head & Neck Surgery, along with a Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery. He also earned a Diploma in Management from the International Islamic University Islamabad and a Certificate in Medical Education from Rawalpindi Medical University.
During his distinguished career, Dr. Ejaz Ahmed has served at several prestigious institutions, including Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences ( ), Holy Family Hospital, Aga Khan University Hospital, Services Institute of Medical Sciences, and OGDCL Hospital.
He joined the Department of Health in 2017 in BPS-18 and has since played a pivotal role in strengthening healthcare services and postgraduate medical training. He was instrumental in securing recognition for fellowship training at the Divisional Headquarters Teaching Hospital. During the -19 pandemic, he served as the Government’s Focal Person and contributed as a member of the Hospital Disciplinary Committee. He has also undertaken key assignments from the Health Department, including the formulation of Postgraduate Training Policy and participation in various departmental committees. At the medical college, he also served as Deputy Controller of .
Dr. Ejaz Ahmed serves as an Internal and External Examiner, Paper Setter, and Assessor at University of Health Sciences ( ) Lahore and Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University. He is also an Executive Member of the Pakistan Society of Otorhinolaryngology, with special interest in Rhinoplasty and Laryngology. He is the author of more than 20 research in national and international journals, reflecting his strong commitment to academic excellence and medical advancement.
