🔬 Microvascular Decompression for Trigeminal Neuralgia at Nishtar 2 Neurosurgery Department📍 Multan | Advancing Neurosurgical ExcellenceWe are pleased to share another milestone achieved by the Neurosurgery team at Nishtar 2 Hospital, Multan — the successful performance of Microvascular Decompression (MVD) for a patient suffering from Trigeminal Neuralgia, one of the most intense forms of facial pain.Using advanced microscopic techniques, we carefully identified and decompressed the offending vascular loop compressing the trigeminal nerve. This accomplishment was marked by the successful Microscopic Clipping of an MCA aneurysm, a procedure that represents a major step forward in our capabilities. We are deeply grateful to Medical Superintendent Dr. Saima Batool Sumra for her invaluable support, Dr. Waseem Rabbani and his anesthesia team for their expertise, and our dedicated medical officers, paramedics, and staff nurses whose commitment made this possible. Together, we are expanding the horizons of neurosurgical care for our region.
