A*O is a blood test that measures the level of antibodies produced against Streptolysin-O, a toxin released by Group A Streptococcus bacteria.
It helps diagnose complications that occur after a Streptococcal infection, such as:
Rheumatic fever ❤️
Glomerulonephritis (kidney inflammation) 🩺
Scarlet fever
Post-streptococcal arthritis
📈 Normal A*O Levels

How Elisa Works
Antigen or antibody is coated on a plate (usually 96-well plate). 🧫
Sample is added (blood, serum, plasma). 💉
If the target substance is present, it binds. 🔗
A specific antibody with an enzyme is added (enzyme-labeled antibody). 🧪
Enzyme reacts with a substrate, producing a color change. 🎨
Color intensity = amount of antigen/antibody present. 📊

ELISA is an immunological test 🧪 that uses antigen–antibody reactions 🧬 to identify specific substances in a sample. It works by attaching (binding) antibodies or antigens to a special plate 🧫 and then using an enzyme that produces a color change 🎨 to show the result.
ELISA is used to check for:
Antibodies (e.g., HIV antibodies, hepatitis antibodies) 🛡️
Antigens (e.g., HBsAg) 🔍
Hormones (e.g., hCG in pregnancy test) 🤰
Proteins / cytokines (e.g., IL-6) ⚗️
Infections (viral, bacterial, parasitic) 🦠

🔬 PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction)
PCR is a technique used to make millions of copies of DNA — like a biological photocopy machine! 📄➡️📄📄📄

🔥 3 Quick Steps:
1️⃣ Denaturation (95°C) – DNA strands separate 🧬➡️↔️
2️⃣ Annealing (50–65°C) – Primers attach 🎯
3️⃣ Extension (72°C) – New DNA is built by ???? 🧱🧬

⚡ After 30–40 cycles → Huge amount of DNA is produced 📈🧬

💡 Uses: Disease diagnosis 🦠, forensics 👣, research 🧪, and genetics 👨‍🔬
