Today’s session with Sir Abdul Haseeb was a highly enriching learning experience for the students of (Batch 4- Semester 4th). He thoroughly explained and demonstrated how to perform manual muscle testing to accurately assess the strength and laxity of different muscles. Throughout the session, he emphasized proper technique, patient handling, and clinical decision-making, allowing students to understand not only how to perform each test but also why it is important in real clinical practice. The entire class remained deeply engaged, and the session proved to be an informative session , enhancing the students’ confidence and professional skills.

Sir Atif is teaching the students of ( Batch 5-Semester 2nd) how to make an (Ankle Foot Orthosis), this entire session turned into an incredibly informative learning experience. The students observed each step closely from material selection to marking , taking measurements and how to take an AFO cast and gaining valuable insight into the practical side of orthosis.
Sessions like these not only strengthen their technical skills but also build their clinical confidence. Truly, this kind of hands-on training plays a vital role in shaping future for P&O professionals.

Students of (Batch 2-Semester 8) of BS Prosthetics and Orthotics successfully conducted their case presentations in front of the esteemed faculty members including Sir Abdul Haseeb, Sir Arsalan Rasool , Sir Farhan, Miss Lyba, Miss Spogmay, and Sir Atif along with students from all other batches. Students of the Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics (BPO), currently enrolled in Semester VI, are undertaking their clinical placement in the Knee-Ankle-Foot Orthosis (KAFO) module. The KAFO is a lower limb orthotic device designed to support, align, correct, or prevent deformities affecting the knee, ankle, and foot regions, as well as to improve functional mobility. During this placement, students are engaged in applied clinical practice, where they integrate theoretical knowledge with practical skills in patient assessment, orthotic design, fabrication, and fitting.

The clinical training is being conducted under the supervision of Mr. Farhan, Ms. Lyba, and Mr. Abdul Haseeb, who provide guidance, mentorship, and evaluation to ensure competency development and adherence to professional standards.

IPMR Prosthetics and Orthotics Society conducted a recent workshop on "Myoelectric Hand in Arm Rehabilitation". Thanks to our esteemed speaker, Muhammad Hamza Shafique, Mechanical Engineer and Founder of Arm Rehab Technologies. Held on 25th August 2025. The session covered the basics, designs, and components of myoelectric hands, as well as insights into challenges, innovations, case studies, processing and fitting techniques. We're grateful for the opportunity to advance knowledge and professional development in Prosthetics and Orthotics.
The workshop was attended by Prosthetics and Orthotics' students, graduates and senior faculty members from IPMR P&O department including Miss Aqsa hussain, Mr Atif Khan, Miss Spogmay Khan, Miss Lyba Alam. Miss Sajida PT and Miss Maham PT also attended the workshop. The workshop ended with CME accredited certificates distribution among all participants. A shield was provided to our guest speaker, Muhammad Hamza Shafique to honour his valuable insights and contribution.
