The KP Physical Therapy Association is thrilled about the landmark approval of the scope of physical therapy practice in Pakistan. Alhamdulillah after the efforts and suggestions of Pakistan Physical Theray Association, the Allied Health professional Council pakistan have developed the scope of practice for physical therapist in pakistan.
He/She can use the prefix Dr followed by his name and PT and can prescribe the pain killers muscles relaxant,multivitamins and pain killer gels.
The physical therapist can now open the independent clinic,Rehab Center.
He/she can asses diagnose and treat the patient independently.He/She can advise investigation for neuromuscular and musculoskeletal conditions along with Congenital anomalies.He can collaborate officially with different health care professionals including medical doctors including surgeons and physicians, occupational therapist,speech therapist,audiologist and P&O by referring the patients.
The physical therapist can use electrotherapy equipments Dry Needling tapping laser therapy manual therapy including mobilization and manipulation.

Day 3: Workshop on Stroke Rehabilitation by KP Physical Therapy Association
