In 1937, a football league match between Chelsea and Charlton was played in England and the match was stopped in the 60th minute due to heavy fog.
But Charlton goalkeeper Sammy Bartram was still in front of goal 15 minutes after the stoppage because he didn't hear the referee's whistle because of the crowd behind his goal post, with his arms outstretched and his attention focused. Standing at the goal post with concentration, Sammy Bartram was visibly upset when he was approached fifteen minutes later by stadium security to inform him that the match had been called off. said,

لیکن چارلٹن ٹیم کے گول کیپر سیمے بارٹرم کھیل کو روکنے کے 15 منٹ بعد بھی گول کے سامنے موجود رہے کیونکہ اُس نے اپنے گول پوسٹ کے پیچھے ہُجوم کی وجہ سے ریفری کی سیٹی نہیں سنی تھی، وہ اپنے بازوؤں کو پھیلائے ہوئے اور اپنی توجہ مرکوز کر کے گول پوسٹ پر کھڑا رہا، غور سے آگے دیکھتا رہا اور پندرہ منٹ بعد جب سٹیڈیم کا سیکورٹی عملہ اُس کے پاس پہنچا اور اُسے اطلاع دی کہ میچ منسوخ کردیا گیا ہے تو سیمے بارٹرم نے شدید غم و غصے کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے کہا،
”کتنے افسوس کی بات ہے کہ
جِن کے دفاع کے لیئے میں کھڑا ہوا تھا وہ مُجھے ہی بُھول گئے 😰😰😰“
زندگی کے میدان میں کتنے ہی ایسے ساتھی موجود ہوتے ہیں جن کے مفادات کے دفاع کیلیئے ہم نے اپنا وقت، صلاحیت اور تواناٸی صرف کی ہوتی ہیں لیکن حالات کی دُھند میں وہ ہمیں بھول جاتے ہیں،
رشتے دار، دوست اور ساتھی چاہے کھیل کے میدان کے ہوں یا زندگی کے حالات و واقعات کے سرد اور گرم میں ایک اعلٰی ظرف انسان کی طرح ہمیشہ اُنہیں یاد رکھ کر ساتھ لے کر چلنا چاہیئے ناکہ اُسے راستے میں چھوڑ دینا چاہیئے......
