A team from the Department of Urology, LRH, led by their esteemed Head of Department, Dr. Azra Ghani as master trainer, was invited by the Department of Urology, DHQ Hospital Gujranwala, to attend a two-day hands-on workshop on “Fistula Repair and Stress Incontinence.” The workshop was organized by PAUS Gujranwala at DHQ Hospital and was headed by Prof. Dr. Khalid Hussain, Head of the Department.
The workshop was also attended by a team from PKLI, led by the respected Prof. Dr. Nadeem Bin Nusrat.
The program included an interactive session on the multidisciplinary management of fistula and stress incontinence, followed by hands-on live surgeries. A total of eight cases of VVF and UVF were operated. Three of these cases were performed vaginally by the LRH Urology team, providing valuable insights into patient positioning, surgical approaches, and key maneuvers in managing simple, complex, and redo cases.
The visit concluded with a tour of PKLI Hospital, Lahore, where team Urology Department LRH and PKLI exchanged views on enhancing teaching training program and patient care.
The LRH team received warm hospitality from both urology departments and was presented with shields of acknowledgment, certificates of appreciation, and souvenirs. The session ended with a warm and memorable dinner gathering.
