A Stroke Survivor’s Journey Back to Speech!
After suffering a stroke, Fazal Khaliq faced severe difficulties that changed his daily life. Seeking treatment in Rawalpindi brought little relief, and his condition continued to trouble him. When he arrived at RMI, his jaw was significantly twisted, and even basic functions like speaking and eating had become challenging.
At RMI, Fazal was assessed by our Speech Therapist, Farrak Tariq, who carefully evaluated his condition. The assessment revealed major issues with speech clarity and swallowing, requiring a structured and consistent therapy plan. Fazal then underwent multiple speech therapy sessions, each focused on improving his communication and oral function.
With dedicated therapy, expert guidance, and strong patient commitment, Fazal has shown remarkable progress recovering nearly 60% of his speech function. Most importantly, he expresses great satisfaction with his recovery journey and the care he received.
