Case Presentation – One Visit Endodontic Treatment

A referred patient presented with the chief complaint of severe pain in the upper second premolar. After clinical and radiographic examination, the tooth was diagnosed and root canal treatment was planned.

Caries was removed to gain proper access, and the canal was carefully negotiated. Cleaning and shaping were performed using the gold standard irrigation protocol to ensure proper disinfection of the canal system. After achieving a dry canal, obturation was completed in the same visit.

Finally, the tooth was restored with composite restoration to re-establish function and seal the access cavity.

Alhamdulillah, the patient was relieved of pain after the procedure.

A patient presented with a history of severe pain in the lower first molar. After clinical examination, the tooth was diagnosed with irreversible pulpitis, and root canal treatment was initiated.

First, complete caries removal was performed. The canals were carefully negotiated, followed by cleaning and shaping using the gold standard irrigation protocol with 5% sodium hypochlorite. Intracanal medicament (ICM) was placed.

At the subsequent appointment, obturation was completed, and the tooth was permanently restored with composite resin.

Alhamdulillah, the patient is now completely pain-free.

A colleague presented with a history of dental caries involving a Class II cavity along with pits and fissure caries.

After clinical examination, caries removal was performed. The pits and fissure caries were eliminated using a tapered fissure bur. Proper isolation was achieved with the placement of a RUBBER DAM.

A SELECTIVE ETCH TECHNIQUE was applied, followed by the application of a bonding agent. The distal wall was built up first to establish proper proximal contour and contact. The remaining cavity was then restored incrementally with composite resin.

Occlusion was carefully checked and high spots were adjusted accordingly. Finishing and polishing were performed to achieve optimal surface smoothness and anatomy.

ALHAMDULILLAH, the final outcome demonstrated:

Well-restored tooth anatomy

Proper proximal contact

Excellent shade matching 🦷

یہ واقعہ صرف ایک فرد کا سانحہ نہیں بلکہ پورے طبی پیشے اور معاشرتی اقدار کے لیے ایک لمحۂ فکریہ ہے۔ ڈاکٹر مہوش کا قتل کوئی معمولی واقعہ نہیں تھا؛ یہ ہمارے اجتماعی ضمیر پر ایک گہرا سوال ہے۔ اطلاع کے مطابق معاملہ ایک معمولی اختلاف سے شروع ہوا—وہ نماز ادا کر رہی تھیں اور ایک شخص فوری طور پر مریض دیکھنے پر اصرار کر رہا تھا۔ جب انہوں نے خواتین کے مخصوص مقام پر موجودگی پر اعتراض کیا تو یہ تکرار شدت اختیار کر گئی، اور ڈیوٹی کے بعد پیش آنے والا المناک واقعہ ایک انسانی جان کے ضیاع پر منتج ہوا۔

یہ سوال اہم ہے کہ کیا ہم اس حد تک عدم برداشت کا شکار ہو چکے ہیں کہ عبادت کرتی ہوئی ایک ڈاکٹر بھی محفوظ نہ رہے؟ ڈاکٹر بھی انسان ہیں؛ ان کی عزت، وقت، عبادت اور جان سب قابلِ احترام ہیں۔ اگر وہ افراد جو ہسپتالوں میں انسانیت کی خدمت انجام دیتے ہیں خود غیر محفوظ ہوں تو یہ معاشرے کی سمت کے بارے میں تشویش ناک اشارہ ہے۔

ضرورت اس امر کی ہے کہ ریاستی ادارے اور انتظامی نظام صحت کے مراکز میں مؤثر سکیورٹی اور واضح ضابطۂ اخلاق کو یقینی بنائیں، تاکہ کسی بھی طبی پیشہ ور کو خوف کے سائے میں خدمات انجام نہ دینی پڑیں۔ بطورِ معاشرہ ہمیں طے کرنا ہوگا کہ ہم عدم برداشت اور نفرت کو ہوا دیں گے یا انسانیت، قانون اور باہمی احترام کو مضبوط کریں گے۔
