🦵✨ Complex Multi-Ligament Knee Reconstruction – All Ligaments Completely Torn
Alhamdulillah, sharing a rare and challenging case I operated three months ago — a high-energy knee trauma with complete tears of:
🔹 Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL)
🔹 Posterior Cruciate Ligament (PCL)
🔹 Medial Collateral Ligament (MCL)
🔹 Lateral Collateral Ligament (LCL)
🔹 Patellar Tendon
The entire reconstruction was completed in a single tourniquet time, which was released only during patellar tendon repair.
🛠️ Surgical Strategy:
Primary repair with graft augmentation for ACL and PCL
Reconstruction and fixation of MCL and LCL
Patellar tendon repair with reinforcement
Aim was to restore native biomechanics and preserve joint stability
🌟 Outcome at 3 Months:
Knee stable and pain-free
Physiotherapy started under a structured protocol
Rehab planning was done with multiple physiotherapy colleagues due to the complexity and rarity of this multi-ligament preservation and reconstruction case
Patient progressing well with encouraging functional recovery
Alhamdulillah for the successful surgical outcome and the dedicated team support.
