Warning Signs Your Child Might Be Struggling With Bronchiolitis. 🚨

​Bronchiolitis is the main reason we see babies and toddlers admitted to the clinic during the peak winter season. Watch closely for these symptoms, which mean the inflammation is severe:
​Wheezing: 🌬️ This is the most common sign! Listen for a high-pitched, whistling sound when your child breathes out.
​Labored Breathing: 🫁 If you see the skin pulling in below the ribs, above the collarbone, or between the ribs with every breath, it means they are using all their muscles just to move air. This is a red flag! ⚠️
​Fast Breathing: 💨 Their breathing rate will speed up significantly as the body tries desperately to get enough oxygen.
​Feeding Difficulty: 🍼 They may stop feeding well because they are too busy trying to breathe. If a baby can’t finish their bottle or breastfeed without stopping often, this is serious.

Bronchiolitis, peak winter season mein bachon k admit honay ki bunyadi wajah hai. In symptoms par ghaur se nazar rakhein:

Wheezing: 🌬️ Yeh sab se aam nishani hai! Jab aap ka bacha saans bahar nikale, to aik high-pitched, whistling awaz par tawajjo dein.

Labored Breathing: 🫁 Agar aap dekhein ke saans letay waqt pasliyon ke neechay, collarbone ke oopar, ya pasliyon ke darmiyan jild andar khinch rahi hai, to is ka matlab hai ke woh sirf hawa andar le janay ke liye apni poori taaqat laga rahay hain. Yeh aik red flag hai! ⚠️

Fast Breathing: 💨 Unki saans lainay ki raftaar bohat tezz ho jaye gi kyunkay j**m oxygen hasil karnay ki sakht koshish kar raha hota hai.

Feeding Difficulty: 🍼 Woh theek se doodh peena band kar saktay hain kyunkay woh saans lainay mein masroof hotay hain. Agar aik bacha apni bottle khatam nahin kar sakta ya bar bar rukay baghair breastfeed nahin kar pata, to yeh aik sanjeeda masla hai.

Bronchiolitis Kya Ha? ⚠️

Jab aapke chote bacche ko cold (zukam) hota hai, toh yeh aam taur par kuch dinon ki baat hoti hai. Lekin kabhi kabhi, khaaskar hamare area mein sardiyon (winter) ke dauraan, ek aam cold virus ,lungs mein chala jaata hai aur kuch zyada serious wajah banta hai: Bronchiolitis. 😢

What is Bronchiolitis?
Apne bacche ke lungs ko ek tree ki tarah samjhein. Bari branches (shaakhein) airways hain, aur aakhir mein jo choti twigs (tehniyan) hain unhe bronchioles kehte hain. Bronchiolitis unhi choti twigs mein hone wali swelling (soojan) aur clogging (rukawat) ka naam hai. 🌲

Jab yeh choti tubes sooj jaati hain aur mucus (balgham) se bhar jaati hain, toh hawa ka andar aur baahar aana jaana bahut mushkil ho jaata hai. Isi wajah se aapka baccha breathe (saans lene) mein struggle karta hai, bhale hi uski nose (naak) clear nazar aa rahi ho!

Remember:
Bronchiolitis ka behtareen treatment supportive care aur careful monitoring hai, taaki yeh yaqeen kiya ja sake ke breathing aur oxygen levels mehfooz (safe) rahein.

Bronchiolitis Explained: When a Cold Gets Serious ⚠️

​When your little one catches a cold, it's usually just a few days of sniffles. But sometimes, especially during winter in our area, a common cold virus (like RSV) travels deeper into the lungs and causes something more serious: Bronchiolitis. 😢

​What is Bronchiolitis?
​Think of your child’s lungs like a tree. The big branches are airways, and the tiny twigs at the end are called bronchioles. Bronchiolitis is swelling and clogging that happens in those tiny twigs. 🌲
​When those small tubes get swollen and filled with thick mucus, it becomes very hard for air to move in and out. That is why your child struggles to breathe, even if their nose looks clear!

Remember:
​Bronchiolitis is almost always caused by a virus (like RSV). The best treatment is supportive care and careful monitoring to make sure breathing and oxygen levels stay safe. If your child has cold symptoms and you see any of the signs below, please seek help immediately. Don't wait for these symptoms to pass:
* Labored Breathing: Look at their chest and neck. Is the skin sucking in under the ribs or around the neck with every breath? This is a sign of working too hard to breathe.

* Wheezing: Listen for a high-pitched whistling sound when your child breathes out.

* Rapid Breathing: If your child is breathing much faster than normal.

* Low Energy/Irritability (Especially Infants): For babies under 6 months, severe RSV can present as simply being very irritable, having very low activity, or drinking much less milk than usual.

* Blue Lips/Nails: This is an absolute emergency! Call for help right away.
