While positive thinking is important, it is also important that you stay grounded in reality.

Unrealistic optimism and illusions of control are often counterproductive since the inevitable disillusionment can leave people feeling depressed and hopeless afterward. This can also mean avoiding popular misconceptions that, while seeming to be true, fail to be supported by available evidence.

The ability to monitor our thinking patterns and to change them when we discover that they aren't true is an essential aspect of cognitive flexibility and helps in avoiding the rigidity of thought that can reinforce feelings of depression.🌱

"SELF CHECK"

The one sit with ourselves long enough to see ourselves. let's touch with our core, our worth, ourselves. So that we can be Accountable, Apologize, Own it and Grow.

Pick one bad habit that we want to break or one good habit that we want to start, and when you go to bed tonight decide that tomorrow you're gonna try and when you wake up tomorrow morning let it be the first thing you think about look for an opportunity to sacrifice just a little bit to accomplish it.

When you go to bed at night you have to check yourself that there is no community of emotionally unstable teenagers to call you out you are truly the only person who can hold yourself accountable and whether you achieved your goal or not decide that you're gonna try for just one more day.!!!

Accountability is an act of SELF LOVE💛💛

If there is a "past story" from your life that brings you down, stop repeating it and practice letting go each day. Every time you tell the story, you give it more power. lt's over, you learned from it, and it's time to move forward- allow yourself to tell a new story.

Let go of your obsession with the past; it's over. In life, you can't go backward. Never focus on trying to be what you were. Allow yourself to grow, to expand to become new. Learn to fall in love with who you are in the present moment and honor the growth that you've had.

Let it go. Walk away. You'll be proud of yourself later. The next time you feel yourself being triggered emotionally, tell yourself that you will allow the emotion to pass before you will react or speak.

Tell yourself that you are aligned with peace and wellness and that fighting and arguing no longer soothes your soul. This does not mean that you will not speak up and be assertive-no. Instead it means that you will be mindful of what you let bother you and even more aware of how you handle each situation.

Nobody is going to save you, but you can save yourself. Wake up every single day and fight for a purpose. Get a full night of rest, connect with your community, and let go of the things that truly do not matter.

Allow yourself to appreciate all of the efforts you've put in this far. Today is a great day to be proud of yourself.

🌴 Emotional fatigue is so underrated and as debilitating (if not more) than physical fatigue.

🌴 You don't need a single reason to justify how you feel.

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME you intentionally sat in silence for a few
minutes?

🌴 No distractions. Nothing in your hands. Nothing within earshot or within sight to capture your attention. Was that moment earlier today? Yesterday? Can't even remember? You're certainly not alone.

🌴 Let's try an experiment. For one minute, close your eyes and notice the thoughts that come up. They might seem incredibly random and disorganized. The chaos inside the modern mind is always there, ruining our ability to focus and remain present. Is it any wonder we're so frazzled and distracted?

🌴 Let's say you notice that your computer is running slowly. Thinking something is wrong with it, you turn to a computer expert. The first
thing any technician would ask is how many applications you have open and how many programs are operating in the background.

🌴 That's a good question to ask about your own brain. Because unlike the computer, you can't run multiple programs efficiently. The more you try to multitask, the more mistakes you make: one study showed that error rates were three times higher when participants were given two goals instead of one

🌴 That computer technician, by the way, would tell you to update all your applications as well as your operating system, then do a cold hard of your computer to refresh everything. We're asking you to do the thing.
