Story of Gulzari Optics:
It all started with a decision, Mujahid Gulzari made up his mind to become an entrepreneur. Since childhood he saw this business growing around him. For 3 years, he served at an optical shop. But the minimal salary was insufficient to earn bread and butter for his family. There he decided to take the risk.
12 years back when he took this decision he had no money to invest, he was clueless. With a loan of 3.5 lac he laid foundation of Gulzari Optics on Saidpur Road in 1998. People were of the view that this venture would fail with in a month because of the location of the shop which had no strategic advantage for opticians. A storm of criticism was on his way.
“I was told to review my decision and look for an alternative place. But this only made me stronger and I promised myself that Gulzari Optics will establish its reputation in a way that it would reach to the masses. And today, Saidpur Road has now become the hub of Opticians in Pindi and GO is the proud pioneer!”
The starting phase taught him the value of money. He knew the pain of poverty and been through tough times that developed a sense of realization to provide customers value of their money. Gulzari optics since then is committed to provide products at as low price as possible. Mujahid inculcated out of the box ideas in the business to live up to his mission.
“Once a labor came to Gulzari Optics and asked for the low price frame offer we launched, after eye check up he came to me and held my hands with tears in eyes and thanked me. He had been saving money for several months to buy an eyesight frame but was unable to afford it and the offer enabled him to buy a quality low cost eye wear for himself. That was the moment when my mission was further strengthened”
It has been a long journey and in spite of inflation and economic downturn across the globe, GO has maintained its policy of eye care at lower rates than anyone.
