🗓 10 October | World Mental Health Day 2025
🌍 Theme: “Mental health in humanitarian emergencies”
In times of crisis, whether from conflict, natural disaster, displacement, or other emergencies, the wounds we see are often physical. But many more are invisible: the emotional and psychological scars that follow.
This World Mental Health Day, let’s remember:
Mental health is as essential as physical health, especially during emergencies.
Access to mental health support must be a core part of humanitarian response, not an afterthought.
In crisis settings, distress is a normal reaction, but many people go on to develop serious mental health conditions if there is no help.
Community-based, low-resource, evidence-backed interventions save lives and help rebuild resilience.
Let’s use our voices, our platforms, and our hands to push for mental health support in places that need it most, camps, conflict zones, disaster-affected areas, and for displaced populations.
If you can, share resources (hotlines, local NGOs, counseling services) relevant to your region. Reach out to someone who’s hurting. Spread hope, not silence.
Together, we can make sure no one is left behind in mental health care, even when everything else is uncertain
