One-Day Workshop: "Breaking Free from Anxiety"

Today, the Department of Psychology and Counseling Center, in collaboration with the Character Building Society (CBS), University of Sargodha, organized a highly impactful and insightful one-day workshop titled “Breaking Free from Anxiety.”
The guest speaker for the main session was Ms. Anum Bukhari (MS Clinical Psychologist, NLP Practitioner, Hypnotherapist), who beautifully addressed the causes and effects of anxiety, as well as effective strategies to cope with it. Her session included interactive activities, practical exercises, and simple relaxation techniques that greatly resonated with the participants.
Another remarkable part of the workshop was a session on Assertiveness Training conducted by Ms. Malaika Mohsin. She highlighted how to express oneself confidently and respectfully, set personal boundaries, and communicate effectively without aggression. Her session inspired students to build self-confidence and adopt healthier ways of communication.

At the end of the workshop, Prof. Dr. Najma Iqbal Malik delivered the closing remarks. She extended her heartfelt thanks to both guest speakers and appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the students. She emphasized the importance of such events in spreading mental health awareness and encouraging open dialogue around emotional well-being.
This session was a positive step toward mental health awareness, emotional strength, and personal development. The active involvement and interest of the students made it a memorable and meaningful experience.
