District Headquarter Hospital Vehari was established in 1976 as 42-bedded hospital, and later on, its bed strength was upgraded to 125 in 1983. In 2017, the hospital was upgraded to 300 bedd as it was also included in revamping scheme. Located on Hasilpur Road near new Sharqi Colony, total area of this hospital is 205 kanals.
DHQ Hospital Vehari is providing services not only to resident of Vehari District but also to inhabitants of adjacent districts as well. It has 12 Departments, CT-Scan, Dialysis Unit, Paeds Nursery & CCU and facilitating with medical services like diagnosis, treatment & prevention of disease, injury, and other physical and mental impairments. The hospital has two emergencies including newly established Trauma Centre providing 24/7 services. The District Headquarters Hospital is headed by the Medical Superintendent who is a grade 18 officer. He is assisted by Additional Medical Superintendents, Deputy Medical Superintendent, Nursing Superintendent and New Management Structure (NMS) Officers.
