It's probably not a surprise to anyone that bashing your body into a spinning metal hoop is painful, but there are ways to help the agony. Here are a few of my favourites:

1. Breathing deeply will help. It keeps your muscles from tensing and in general breathing is just always a good plan.

2. Practice painful movements regularly. It's hard, but every time you practice a few more nerve ending will die and the trick will feel a little less terrible.

3. If something is really hurting try moving the hoop a tiny bit (looking at you, hip hang) even one or two centimeters and make the difference between the hoop being on a muscle or being g on a bone, which makes a huge difference in the pain.

4. You need to always listen to your body to avoid injuries, but you also need to know the difference between normal pain and injury pain so you can put the normal pain in the back of your brain and ignore it.

5. It's good to push yourself in training, but also be kind to your body, its the only one you've got! (Probably. I don't know your life...)
