Every year since 2015 we have been organizing Cupcake Eater Day in TUV Rheinland offices in Poland.
We bring lots of delicious baked goodies to our small “fair” and donate all the proceeds to the children from an orphanage in Zabrze.

We are back with Employee Spotlight series! Next up is Karina🌟 – Process Specialist.

Hi! I’m Karina and I have been working for TÜV Rheinland Polska since August 2018. Over these 4 years, I had a chance to take 3 different positions. All of them taught me a lot and allowed to gather valuable and useful experience.

I started as a senior accountant in a newly created AP team. My first task was to take part in a transition and migrating AP processes into the centre in Katowice. During that transition, I could not only expand my knowledge but also meet new colleagues and visit the headquarters in Cologne. When I came back to our office, I could share gained knowledge and experience with new team members and take part in process improvement and stabilization. Even though this was a very challenging period of time, I remember it with fondness and pleasure. Further, I took the position of a team coordinator.

As a coordinator, I was able to try completely new tasks and get closer to the team. Moreover, I could get involved in many interesting projects and activities. One of the projects was devoted to the implementation of the new system in AP department. The project has enriched me professionally and allowed to determine which career path I really want to take. Getting more and more involved in various activities, I became a member of project team and at the same time, I took my current position as a process specialist. My present tasks are very diverse. I train users, provide them with daily support and take part in implementation of the new system in various companies. I am very grateful to TÜV that here I found a job which gives me satisfaction and fulfilment. 🙂

Hi, my name is Wiola. My career at TÜV Rheinland RSSC Europe started in March 2018 as a Senior Accounts Receivable Accountant. Today, I have the pleasure of leading a team of great people and manage accounting processes by day 💻 and be a motorcycle enthusiast by night. 🏍

I’m happy to have a flexible and dynamic workplace. Having the possibility to combine working from home and meeting with my co-workers at the office from time to time is what keeps my wheels spinning. You may think that a regular day in the accounting department is repetitive, not even close! Having so many great specialists in my team makes it a bumpy but a joyful ride. 🙂

Remember when we built dog houses for local shelter at our company birthday party this past June? 🐶
(TÜV Rheinland is 150 years old this year and TÜV Rheinland Polska turned 25 years old! 🎉)
Well, it turns out that now even cats use them! 🐱
We're happy that we could do something creative and also useful. The effect speaks for itself and all the animals seem happy with their new houses. 🐈🐕

Employee Spotlight – Team Assistant

Today’s spotlight shines🌟the light on what it’s like working as a Team Assistant for the SSC Global Office.

Hi! I’m Elaine, the Team Assistant for the SSC Global Office. I joined TÜV Rheinland a little over 1-year ago, and it’s been an endlessly dynamic and solid first year. Every day, I work with colleagues across all three SSC locations: Germany, Poland, and China 🌏. I work 100% remote 🏠 and look forward to the opportunities to meet with colleagues in person, whether at headquarters in Cologne or our local office in Katowice.

As a team assistant👩‍💻, there’s always an opportunity coming your way, and you have to be able to adjust, learn new things and jump right in. My work is fast-paced and rewarding as I get the opportunity to get involved in different areas of business. I like being able to see how my support affects the big picture. A team assistant must be a team player - Different team members contribute different perspectives, and this synergy between team members can produce creative and productive results📈. I enjoy the intercultural work environment and collaborating with colleagues across the world.
