The Papal Window on Franciszkańska 3 is a place particularly dear to Krakow's residents. John Paul II met here, especially with young people, during all his pilgrimages to Poland. He conducted cordial dialogues and chats. This tradition was continued by successive popes - Benedict XVI and Francis, who blessed the inhabitants of the city and pilgrims from the wide-open window of the House of Archbishops of Krakow. Cracovians gathered outside the window on Franciszkańska St. not only during papal pilgrimages to Poland. At the news of the death of John Paul II, many people came to the window. The news of the Pope's death was given to them by Cardinal Franciszek Macharski. Some lit candles, others brought flowers. The custom of prayer vigil continues. Cracovians gather at Franciszkańska on the occasion of papal anniversaries and celebrations. In the restored on the 40th anniversary of the election of Cardinal Karol Wojtyła for the Holy See, the Pope's Window appeared a mosaic for Venetian glass, which depicts John Paul II against the background of the cross. The smiling Holy Father raises his hand in a gesture of greeting. At the top and bottom of the mosaic, there are flowers that refer to those that Our Lady of Calvary has on her robe. The mosaic was unveiled and consecrated by Archbishop Marek Jędraszewski. The author of the mosaic is the Poznań artist Magdalena Czeska.

Pharmacy "Under the Eagle" - the only pharmacy located in the Krakow ghetto, created by the Germans in March 1941, in Podgórze during the occupation of Krakow. It is a place where the fate of Poles and Jews was associated in a special way. Magister Pankiewicz - the only Pole residing in the ghetto - along with Polish staff brought constant help to the inhabitants of the ghetto. The 24-hour pharmacy became a meeting place for Jewish intellectuals, scientists and artists in the ghetto. During the bloody displacement operations on Zgody Square in 1942, pharmacy staff gave dressings and medicine to the wounded free of charge. The pharmacy nooks and crannies were used as storage spaces to save them from deportation to extermination camps. Pankiewicz and his assistants: Irena Droździkowska, Aurelia Danek and Helena Krywaniuk were liaison between Jews in the ghetto and outside, providing information and smuggled food. In 1983, Tadeusz Pankiewicz was honored with the title and medal of the Righteous Among the Nations. The pharmacy is located at 18 Bohaterów Getta Square (formerly Mały Rynek, then Zgody Square).
