It was an amazing week!
At the invitation of Prof. Xuxingquan Xu and Prof. Qing Jiang from the Jiangsu Orthopaedic Association in Nanjing, China, we had the honor to participate in the International Knee Days Summit China as representatives of Europe: Tomasz Piontek (Poland), Prof. MUDr. Petr Zeman, Ph.D., MBA (Czech Republic), and Prof. Dr. med. Sven Scheffler (Germany).
The main topics included reconstruction and knee instability treatment.
Our session was a true example that medicine is global and knowledge knows no borders.
Many thanks to the organizers for their warm hospitality and excellent event! Many thanks to our host and representative from Promedica, Petra Ghanem, for her support and guidance throughout the event.

t was a great day in the OR!
At the invitation of Biovico, two orthopedic surgeons — Piotr Neyman and Wojciech Zacha — spent the entire day with us in the operating theatre.
They came to observe our surgical techniques, including cartilage reconstruction, meniscus regeneration with membrane Geistlich Ortho in complex injuries, as well as ACL reconstruction, meniscus reconstruction with autograft, hip arthroscopy, and hamstring reattachment after avulsion injury.
It was a truly busy and productive day. Spending a full day in the OR is one of the best and most effective forms of education.
A huge thank you to my colleagues Jakub Naczk and Patrick Buliński, my fantastic nursing and anesthesia teams, our OR and ward staff, and the administrative team for making this possible.

53-year-old patient with a degenerative meniscal tear — so-called “cleavage tear” with associated meniscal cysts.
This type of lesion often leads to meniscal extrusion, complex tears, and eventually tissue degradation.
But there is an option for biological repair.
Using AMMR (Arthroscopic Matrix-based Meniscus Repair) with membrane ( ), bone marrow injection, and meniscus stabilization, we can support and enhance healing.
In this case, MRI and arthroscopy confirmed the formation of scar tissue within the tear — goal achieved ✅
What was once considered “untreatable” due to poor healing potential can now be successfully managed with biological augmentation.
📊 In our clinical series, we’ve demonstrated 88% good outcomes many years after surgery.

This week we had the pleasure of welcoming distinguished scientists Artur Banach and Ross Crawford from The Prince Charles Hospital, Brisbane (Australia) to our operating theatre at Rehasport.
A year ago, we jointly published the first article in a series in Arthroscopy, Sports Medicine, and Rehabilitation, addressing one of the major causes of patellar cartilage injuries. Our ongoing collaboration now focuses on finding the most effective treatment strategies for patients.
Our work is bringing tangible results – both in the form of successfully treated patients and the development of innovative surgical techniques that address the underlying biomechanical challenges.
Spending time together in the operating theatre was truly inspiring. For us as scientists, such collaboration and discussion are the best ways to exchange ideas, challenge perspectives, and seek the truth.

Silnik gigantycznego statku zepsuł się i nikt nie mógł go naprawić, więc zatrudnili inżyniera mechanika z ponad 30-letnim doświadczeniem.
Bardzo dokładnie obejrzał silnik, od góry do dołu. Po obejrzeniu wszystkiego, inżynier wypakował torbę i wyciągnął mały młotek.
Delikatnie w coś uderzył. Wkrótce silnik znów ożył. Silnik został naprawiony!
Tydzień później inżynier wspomniał właścicielowi statku, że całkowity koszt naprawy gigantycznego statku wyniósł 20 000 dolarów.
„Co?!” powiedział właściciel. „Prawie nic nie zrobiłeś. Daj nam szczegółowy rachunek".
Inżynier odpowiedział mu: „Odpowiedź jest prosta:”
Pukaj młotkiem: 2 dolary
Wiedza, gdzie pukać i ile: 19 998 dolarów
Ważne jest docenianie czyjejś wiedzy i doświadczenia... ponieważ są one wynikiem zmagań, eksperymentów, a nawet łez.
Jeśli wykonam pracę w 30 minut, to dlatego, że spędziłem 20 lat, ucząc się, jak to zrobić w 30 minut. Jesteś mi winien lata, a nie minuty.

This weekend, we held another SNACE cadaver course — this time for doctors from the Czech Republic. 🇨🇿
It was a great pleasure to lead the course for our Czech colleagues together with my friends from Plzeň, Petr Zeman, and from Prague, Jakub Kautzner.
A big thank you, as always, for the excellent organization and cooperation to the Czech team — Petra Ghanem and Ivona Felbingerová, to the Warsaw LAB team, and of course to Dorota Wojciechowska, the brain behind the operation.
