For several months now, we’ve been working with the NeuralPositive team on combining our capabilities and developing joint projects around science-informed sound. One of the first outcomes of this collaboration is now available to passengers flying long-haul with LOT Polish Airlines, a Star Alliance member.

This became possible thanks to LOT’s openness to innovation and their willingness to trust approaches grounded in research. Together, we introduced purpose-composed playlists designed to support passengers during long journeys.

The idea is simple: use carefully designed sound to help address some of the most common challenges of long-haul travel, including:

🎶 relaxation during the flight
🎶 better rest on long routes
🎶 reduced stress during demanding moments of the journey
🎶 smoother adjustment to time zone changes

Projects like this show how research and thoughtful design can move beyond labs and apps - and become part of real-world environments such as air travel.

Follow Calmsie to learn more about the projects we’re working on. And if you’re flying long-haul soon, we invite you on board LOT Polish Airlines.

See you - or rather hear you - in the skies ✈️

Today we’re sharing something we’ve been working on quietly for many months. Calmsie has been collaborating closely with our strategic partner, NeuralPositive. Over time, this collaboration evolved into a joint venture focused on designing sound experiences informed by neuroscience and human physiology.

The first result of this partnership is now ready to go public. Together we created a dedicated sound experience designed specifically for passengers of LOT Polish Airlines. Starting in April 2026, Calmsie x NeuralPositive sound environments will be available on board LOT flights.

This product is the outcome of years of research, development and experimentation with how sound can support calm, relaxation, sleep and focus during travel.

More coming soon ✈️

We’re in the UK 🇬🇧 as part of the Startups Are Us program - wrapping up the fourth and final mission of this journey.

Over the past year, the program has taken us to the United Arab Emirates, the US, and Singapore. Each market offered a different perspective on how edtech and digital health solutions are built, evaluated, and adopted. The UK marks the closing chapter - and a particularly important one.

Our main focus this week is BETT UK, where education, technology, and mental health intersect at scale. Beyond BETT, we’ll also be meeting with researchers from the University of Cambridge, as well as investors and ecosystem partners, to continue conversations around evidence-based mental health solutions and real-world adoption.

Each stop in this program has reinforced the same lesson: meaningful impact in mental health doesn’t come from ideas alone, but from understanding local systems, workflows, and needs, and building solutions that can truly fit into them.

This project is co-financed by the European Union under Action 2.29 “Start-Ups Are Us”, within Priority II: An environment fostering innovation, as part of the European Funds for a Modern Economy programme, Polska Agencja Rozwoju Przedsiębiorczości

If we want technology to truly improve healthcare, it needs more than good engineering - it needs trust, context, and policy shaped by those who understand all three.

On May 27th, 2025, Calmsie’s CEO, Marcin Waryszak, participated in the 7th Telemedicine Roundtable, held under the leadership of Minister of Health Izabela Leszczyna

This roundtable focused on:
🔹 Digital transformation of healthcare as a priority of Poland’s EU Council Presidency
🔹 The Platform of Intelligent Services as a milestone in AI adoption
🔹 Digital transformation of care for women and children
🔹 Changes to the Medical Code of Ethics in the context of artificial intelligence and telemedicine

Calmsie and Marcin Waryszak have been part of this expert group for over 1.5 years, continuously contributing insights from digital mental health and working to ensure that the needs of children, adolescents, and clinicians are reflected in national digital health strategy.

The discussion once again proved that policy made in isolation from practice leads to digital tools that don't work at the bedside. But when public institutions consistently engage with innovators and clinicians, real progress becomes possible. What continues to stand out is the value of long-term expert engagement - not just in technology development, but in the policymaking process itself. Practical insight from the field is indispensable when designing solutions that truly respond to the needs of both patients and providers.

Thank you to the Ministry of Health and all the participants for fostering this essential dialogue. Calmsie remains committed to helping shape a digital health system that’s inclusive, safe, and clinically meaningful.

In science, it’s easy to get stuck in papers, protocols, and deadlines.
Harder - but far more important - is to ask:❓who is this for❓

That question was at the heart of the 3rd Science for Society Congress in Warsaw — a rare event that doesn’t just celebrate innovation, but challenges us to make it useful. Grounded. Human.

We met people building tools for real problems: in schools, hospitals, clinics, universities. We heard powerful stories from those who bridge research and real life. And we had the privilege of contributing our perspective on child and adolescent mental health - a field where science isn’t a luxury, it’s a lifeline.

Thank you, Professor Henryk Skarżyński and Dr Maciej Kawecki, for the invitation and for curating a space where science is not only respected, but expected to serve society. That mindset is not common - and it’s desperately needed.

We were also truly honored to receive a commemorative medal 🏅
It’s more than a symbol. It’s a reminder of the responsibility we carry.

🚀 And yes, it now has a well-earned spot on our shelf of milestones! 🚀

🥖☕ With a fresh baguette in one hand and strong Parisian coffee in the other, we dove headfirst into two days of AI, community, and conversations that matter.

Last week, we had the joy of joining AI Connect and IMPACT² - two events that brought together some of the most passionate minds working at the intersection of technology and social change.

We connected deeply with the community through lightning pitches, small-group dialogues, and meaningful exchanges about inclusive design, corporate partnerships, and impact measurement. Thank you to the Grow AI team for creating a space that felt like home for mission-driven innovators 💛 powered by INCO with support from Google.org 💛

Then came IMPACT² at Paris City Hall, where leaders from across Europe gathered to tackle one of the defining challenges of our time: the future of democracy. From high-level debates to grassroots action, we saw once again how entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, and civil society can - and must - come together to co-create a more just, and resilient world.

Speakers included:
🔸 Nancy Pelosi (52nd Speaker of the United States House of Representatives)
🔸 Anne Hidalgo (Mayor of Paris)
🔸 Valeriya Ionan (Deputy Minister for Digital Transformation of Ukraine),
🔸 Joseph Stiglitz (Nobel Prize in Economics)
🔸 Mario Nava (Director General DG Employment & social affairs at European Commission)
🔸 Bernard Cazeneuve (Former Prime Minister of France)
🔸 Oleksandra Matviichuk (Nobel Peace Prize Laureate)

To all the new friends we met along the way: merci for reminding us that the real power of AI lies not just in the algorithms, but in the people who wield them with heart.

A great pitch during a demo day isn’t just about a compelling story, it's even not just about strong traction, a bold vision, and proof that it’s achievable. It’s the result of relentless daily work - by the team, by the mentors who shared their expertise, and... in this case by the people who made the acceleration program possible.

That’s why winning 3 out of 4 awards at the StartSmart CEE MIT GSW Demo Day during the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Conference means so much to us at Calmsie. We’re grateful for:
🏆 the Jury Main Award
🏆 the Audience Award..and the CVC fund for recognizing our work with
🏆 the Young Innovator Award.

A huge shout-out to MY OVU for taking home the fourth award - well deserved for not only building something amazing but also for being a true team player, always supporting fellow founders in the cohort.

🚀 Startups don’t grow by accident.
🚀 The right product isn’t enough.

You need the right team, the right questions, and the right challenges to push you forward. It is a constant balance between vision and ex*****on.

That’s why, represented by Marcin Waryszak, we’re joining , an accelerator powered by INCO, with support from Google, designed for highly selected organizations using AI for social impact.

Over the next six months, we’ll double down on what works, challenge our assumptions, and push our ex*****on even further with support from top mentors and industry experts. For us at Calmsie, this isn’t just about growth. It’s about scaling impact the right way - so that what we build today can truly make a difference tomorrow.

🔹 But one of the biggest drivers of success? The right community. 🔹
Surrounding yourself with ambitious, like-minded builders who challenge, inspire, and push you forward. Excited to learn alongside OpenAtlas, Numo ADHD, Voda: The LGBTQIA+ Mental Health App, Taaly, SensePilot, Handy Signs, elicėjus, NeurekaLAB, Kestrix, Develop-Players, Recycllux, and the rest of the GrowAI cohort!

Let’s get to work!

For the past few months, we’ve been part of Google for Startups in Poland - a place where we can use office space and, more importantly, benefit from the amazing 🔹 community effect 🔹

It’s a space full of open, supportive people who share knowledge and help each other grow.

Refently, we had two unexpected visitors - Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Google CEO Sundar Pichai. Polish tech has huge potential, and we need more places like Google Campus where founders can grow, learn, and connect with the right people.

The more we support this ecosystem, the stronger it becomes!
