W listopadzie miałem okazję towarzyszyć dr. Andrejusowi Afanasjevasowi w Wilnie podczas zabiegów embolizacji mięśniaków macicy.
Jest to nowoczesna procedura, która pozwala wewnątrznaczyniowo (bez użycia skalpela) leczyć mięśniaki, bez konieczności usuwania macicy. To szczególnie ważne u młodych pacjentek, ponieważ metoda ta pozwala wielu z nich zachować płodność oraz zmniejsza ryzyko powikłań.

In November, I had the opportunity to accompany Dr. Andrejus Afanasjevas in Vilnius during uterine fibroid embolization procedures.
This is a modern, minimally invasive technique that allows fibroids to be treated intravascularly (without the use of a scalpel) and without removing the uterus. This is especially important for younger patients, as the method enables many of them to preserve fertility and significantly reduces the risk of complications.
