"The impact of aesthetic treatments on self-esteem. Pilot study"

Self-esteem is a key element of personal perception and interaction with the environment. The awareness of beauty, shaped by social standards and promoted in social media, can motivate people to undergo aesthetic medicine treatments to achieve the desired appearance. This study aimed to describe changes in self-esteem in people aged 18–50 before and after undergoing aesthetic medicine procedures. The study included men and women who underwent aesthetic interventions (botulinum toxin, hyaluronic acid, or biostimulators). Significant changes in self-esteem before and after the procedures were identified, and the relationships between the variables were examined using statistical tests. Aesthetic treatment may influence the perception of one’s appearance, especially in individuals with high self-esteem before the procedure. H owever, further research is needed to understand the psychological and social implications of these procedures fully.

“Analysis of consumer expectations regarding cosmetics for the daily care of oily skin prone to acne”

Acne vulgaris is one of the most common polyetiological dermatoses. It most often occurs as non-inflammatory or inflammatory skin lesions on the face, neckline, and back. In addition, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and scars may appear.
The study aimed to identify and analyze consumer expectations regarding cosmetics for the daily care of oily, acne-prone skin.
Oily skin prone to acne requires appropriate care. Proper washing and exfoliation, along with deep moisturizing and restoring the hydrolipid barrier, which is frequently harmed by topical acne medications, are crucial elements of home care for such skin.

"The influence of live Lactiplantibacillus plantarum strains on the skin microbiome. Analysis and potential applications in cosmetology"

An innovative approach to supporting the skin microbiome is based on cosmetics containing live probiotic strains. Probiotics, prebiotics, and postbiotics, combined with physiologically pH-balanced formulas and gentle ingredients, are the focus of interest in the cosmetics industry.
The study aimed to evaluate the effect of a cosmetic containing the live strain Lactiplantibacillus plantarum ŁOCK 0862 on the skin microbiome and identify key ingredients that promote its functioning.
The observed improvement in skin hydration and elasticity, reduction of wrinkles, and lowering of pH towards physiological values may be a promising strategy for supporting the balance of the skin microbiota. Probiotics may be a auspicious direction in aiding the treatment of dermatoses, not only by alleviating symptoms, but also by restoring the balance of the skin ecosystem.

"Ethosomes as alternative delivery systems of active substances in cosmetics"

Ethosomes are a specific type of phospholipid vesicles (liposomes) distinguished by the presence of ethanol in their composition. Thanks to the synergy of ethyl alcohol and lipids, they gain a unique ability to pe*****te the stratum corneum.
The article aimed to characterize ethosomes as an innovative delivery system, focusing on their structure and mechanism of action. Both the benefits and limitations of their use were presented, as well as prospects for further development.
Ethosomes are considered as one of the most promising solutions in the field of transdermal delivery of active substances. Their potential is recognized in pharmacology and cosmetology, as they effectively transport active ingredients such as antioxidants and azelaic acid
