Because water means life, and amid extremely harsh conditions, GEDCo teams—supported by UNICEF—are carrying out intensive technical inspections and monitoring of the F11 power line supplying the desalination plant south of Deir Al-Balah, to ensure safe and continuous electricity and enable the plant to provide clean water to thousands of families.

نفّذت طواقم شركة توزيع الكهرباء تدخلًا عاجلًا لإزالة عمود كهرباء آيل للسقوط في مواصي خان يونس، استجابةً لإشارة من الدفاع المدني، حفاظًا على سلامة النازحين وحماية المواطنين وحماية المواطنين من الخطر الناجم عن مكوّنات الشبكة الكهربائية المتضررة، في ظل شحّ الإمكانيات والموارد المتاحة

GEDCo removes a threat endangering displaced families’ tents in Mawasi, Khan Younis

Gaza Electricity Distribution Company (GEDCo) teams carried out an urgent intervention to remove a power pole at risk of collapse in Mawasi, Khan Younis, in response to a call from Civil Defense, to ensure the safety of displaced families and protect residents from dangers caused by damaged electricity network components, amid severe shortages of resources and capabilities.

شركة توزيع الكهرباء تعزّز شراكاتها مع بلديات المحافظة الوسطى لدعم مسار التعافي المبكر

نفّذ وفد من شركة توزيع الكهرباء، برئاسة مدير فرع المحافظة الوسطى المهندس رمزي الغمري، زيارة ميدانية شملت بلديات دير البلح والنصيرات والبريج، في إطار تعزيز التعاون والتنسيق المشترك.

وهدفت الزيارات إلى إطلاع رؤساء البلديات على مستجدات خطط التعافي المبكر التي تنفذها الشركة بالموارد المتاحة، والخطط القريبة لإعادة التيار الكهربائي تدريجيًا، خاصة في مناطق المحافظة الوسطى كمرحلة أولى.

كما ناقش الجانبان أبرز التحديات التي تواجه الشركة، وعلى رأسها التعديات على شبكة الكهرباء، حيث تم الاتفاق على وضع آليات وإجراءات مشتركة لحماية الشبكة في مناطق نفوذ البلديات.

وفي ختام الجولة، ثمّن وفد الشركة جهود بلديات المحافظة الوسطى في خدمة المواطنين والنازحين رغم شح الإمكانيات والظروف الصعبة

GEDCo Strengthens Partnerships with Central Governorate Municipalities to Support the Early Recovery Path
A delegation from the Electricity Distribution Company, headed by the Director of the Central Governorate Branch, Eng. Ramzi Al-Ghamri, conducted a field visit to the municipalities of Deir Al-Balah, Al-Nuseirat, and Al-Bureij, as part of efforts to enhance cooperation and joint coordination.
The visits aimed to brief municipal leaders on the latest developments in the early recovery plans being implemented by the Company using available resources, as well as the near-term plans to gradually restore electricity supply, particularly in areas of the Central Governorate as a first phase.
Both sides also discussed the key challenges facing the Company, foremost among them encroachments on the electricity network. It was agreed to establish joint mechanisms and procedures to protect the network within municipal jurisdictions.
At the conclusion of the tour, the Company’s delegation commended the efforts of the Central Governorate municipalities in serving citizens and displaced persons despite limited resources and the difficult conditions.

استعدادا للتدخلات المستقبلية ضمن مسار التعافي المبكر في قطاع توزيع الكهرباء بغزة

أنجزت شركة توزيع كهرباء محافظات غزة، بالشراكة مع مهندسين بلا حدود – النرويج، المرحلة الأولى من دورة تدريبية متخصصة في أنظمة الطاقة الشمسية، بمشاركة كوادر فنية وهندسية من جهات محلية ودولية، وذلك في إطار تعزيز الجاهزية الفنية لمرحلة التعافي وإعادة التأهيل.

ونُفذت الدورة عن بُعد، وركّزت على تصميم وتشغيل وصيانة أنظمة الطاقة الشمسية ضمن برنامج تدريبي متكامل يُنفذ على مراحل

In preparation for future interventions within the early recovery pathway in the electricity distribution sector in Gaza.

GEDCo, in partnership with Engineers Without Borders – Norway, has completed the first phase of a specialized training course in solar energy systems, with the participation of technical and engineering staff from local and international institutions, as part of efforts to enhance technical readiness for the recovery and rehabilitation phase.

The training was conducted remotely and focused on the design, operation, and maintenance of solar energy systems, within an integrated training program implemented in multiple phases.

في ظل شح الإمكانيات
شركة توزيع الكهرباء وشركة أبناء فارس أبو زايد يؤكدان التعاون المشترك لاستمرارية إنارة الشوارع

انطلاقًا من المسؤولية الوطنية والمجتمعية، وحرصًا على خدمة أبناء شعبنا والتخفيف من معاناتهم في ظل الظروف الصعبة التي يمر بها قطاع غزة، تؤكد كل من شركة توزيع كهرباء محافظات غزة وشركة أبناء فارس أبو زايد للتجارة العامة أن العلاقة التي تجمعهما تقوم على أسس الاحترام المتبادل والتعاون المشترك بما يخدم المصلحة العامة.

ويؤكد الطرفان أن الهدف الرئيس من هذا التعاون هو خدمة المواطنين وتعزيز عوامل السلامة والأمان، لا سيما في ظل التحديات الكبيرة والاستثنائية التي يواجهها القطاع، وما يرافقها من نقص حاد في الإمكانيات والموارد.

وفي هذا السياق، يجري التنسيق المشترك بين الطرفين لاستكمال مشروع إنارة شارع صلاح الدين ضمن إطار المساهمة المجتمعية والمسؤولية الوطنية، وبما يسهم في تعزيز السلامة المرورية والتخفيف من معاناة المواطنين والنازحين.

وخلال المرحلة المقبلة من التعاون بين الشركتين، سيتم تزويد شركة أبناء فارس أبو زايد بالمعدات اللازمة لاستكمال أعمال إنارة شارع صلاح الدين، على أن تتكفل شركة أبناء فارس أبو زايد بتوصيل التيار الكهربائي، بما يضمن إنجاز المشروع وفق الإمكانيات المتاحة وبأفضل صورة ممكنة.

ويجدد الطرفان التزامهما بمواصلة التعاون المشترك في أي مشاريع مستقبلية من شأنها خدمة أبناء شعبنا والتخفيف من آثار الظروف القاسية التي يعيشها قطاع غزة، مع التأكيد على أهمية فتح المعابر والسماح بإدخال مواد الصيانة والمعدات والآليات اللازمة للبدء في إعادة إعمار وتأهيل شبكات الكهرباء المدمرة، سائلين الله التوفيق لما فيه خير الوطن والمواطن.

نفّذت طواقم الصيانة والطوارئ في شركة كهرباء غزة بخان يونس تدخلًا ميدانيًا عاجلًا لإزالة أعمدة حديدية كانت تعيق مداخل منازل المواطنين، حفاظًا على السلامة العامة

وأوضحت الشركة أنه تم التعامل مع 4 إشارات ، مؤكدة استمرار استجابتها السريعة لخدمة المواطنين رغم شح الإمكانيات والمعدات بسبب استمرار إغلاق المعابر

GEDCo’s maintenance and emergency teams in Khan Younis carried out an urgent field intervention to remove metal poles that were obstructing the entrances of residents’ homes, to protect public safety.

The company stated that four reports were addressed, reaffirming its continued rapid response in serving the community, despite severe shortages of resources and equipment due to the ongoing closure of crossings.

بحث سبل إنقاذ قطاع الكهرباء في غزة وإعادة النور تدريجيًا كان محور اجتماع تنسيقي رفيع المستوى عُقد في محطة توليد الكهرباء، في ظل أضرار غير مسبوقة واحتياجات عاجلة تطال جميع مكوّنات النظام الكهربائي.

وشارك في الاجتماع خورخي موريرا دا سيلفا، المدير التنفيذي لمكتب الأمم المتحدة لخدمات المشاريع (UNOPS)، ورامز ألكباروف، مساعد الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة والمنسق المقيم ومنسق الشؤون الإنسانية، إلى جانب مدير عام شركة توزيع كهرباء غزة د.محمد طه الأسطل ومدراء الاختصاص بالشركة، وبحضور ممثلين عن سلطة الطاقة الفلسطينية ومحطة التوليد، ومسؤولين رفيعي المستوى من المؤسسات الأممية (UNDP،UNOPS، OCHA).

وخلال الاجتماع، استعرضت شركة توزيع كهرباء غزة رؤيتها وخططها للتعافي المبكر وإعادة الخدمة تدريجيًا للمواطنين والمرافق الحيوية، وقدّمت مجموعة من المشاريع الاستراتيجية ضمن مبادرة الشركة الاستراتيجية لإعادة إنارة غزة من بينها (RGGI) و( E4HR) و(E4WASH)، مؤكدة جاهزيتها للتعاون مع الشركاء، ومشددة على أن الإدخال العاجل لمواد ومعدات الكهرباء يُعدّ الأساس لإعادة إعمار الشبكة وعودة الكهرباء إلى غزة

A high-level coordination meeting was held at the Gaza Power Plant to explore ways to rescue the electricity sector in Gaza and gradually restore power, amid unprecedented damages and urgent needs affecting all components of the electricity system.

The meeting included Jorge Moreira da Silva, Executive Director of the UN Office for Project Services (UNOPS), Ramez Al-Kabaroff, UN Assistant Secretary-General, Resident Coordinator, and Humanitarian Coordinator, the Director-General of Gaza Electricity Distribution Company, as well as representatives from the Palestinian Energy Authority and the power plant. It was organized by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) with participation from international organizations (UNDP – UNOPS – OCHA).

During the meeting, Gaza Electricity Distribution Company presented its vision and early recovery plans for gradually restoring service to citizens and vital facilities. The company also introduced strategic projects within its strategic initiative to restore Gaza’s electricity (RGGI), including E4HR and E4WASH, emphasizing its readiness to cooperate with partners and highlighting that the urgent import of electricity materials and equipment is essential for rebuilding the network and bringing power back to Gaza.

preparing vital facilities and ensuring their readiness to sustain education and provide a minimum level of healthcare services.

Despite severe shortages and limited resources,
the company stresses that the urgent entry of electrical equipment and distribution materials is essential to expand humanitarian interventions and support relief efforts across the Gaza Strip.

#استجابةً_لمناشدة_عدد_من_المواطنين ، نفّذت الطواقم الفنية في شركة كهرباء غزة بمحافظة خان يونس بالتعاون مع الدفاع المدني أعمال إزالة جزء من مبنى منهار كان يشكّل خطرًا على المارّة

وذلك في إطار حرص الشركة على السلامة العامة والتعامل العاجل مع مصادر الخطر المرتبطة بالشبكة الكهربائية وقد تم تنفيذ تلك الأعمال بإمكانيات محدودة بسبب منع إدخال المواد والمعدات اللازمة للعمل منذ بدء العدوان على قطاع غزة

In response to residents’ appeals, .GEDCo’s teams in Khan Younis, in coordination with Civil Defense, removed part of a collapsed building that posed a danger to passersby. This reflects the company’s commitment to public safety and prompt action against hazards near the power network. The work was carried out with limited resources due to restrictions on bringing in essential materials and equipment since the start of the aggression on Gaza.
