Fundamental Aspects of Oral Implantology
Basic Implant Surgeries & Prosthetics
A comprehensive professional course designed to provide dentists with a solid theoretical and practical foundation in oral implantology. The program integrates lectures, hands-on workshops, live surgical procedures, case discussions, and structured assessments to ensure clinical competence.
Course Structure
The course includes theoretical lectures, practical workshops, live surgeries, case-based discussions, and continuous evaluation. Candidates are required to successfully pass an entrance examination prior to enrollment. At the end of each module, participants must complete a module-based examination to assess both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

Principles of Oral Implantologyد
History, terminology, and implant components
Implant biomaterials and the biology of osseointegration
Bone biology and physiology
Types of dental implants and implant surface characteristics
Clinical examination protocols and patient selection
Loading protocols (immediate, early, delayed)
Radiology in oral implantology
Virtual implant planning using Blue Sky Bio and introduction to surgical guide fabrication
Implant biomechanics and treatment modalities
Treatment planning for partially edentulous and completely edentulous cases
Fundamentals of Basic Implant Surgeries
Principles of flap design and suturing materials and techniques
Osteotomy preparation and conventional implant placement
Minimally invasive surgical techniques (immediate implant placement and flapless surgery)
Immediate loading protocols
Ridge preservation nd soft tissue management
Prevention and management of surgical complications
Fundamentals of Basic Implant Prosthetics
Types of implant-supported prostheses (fixed, removable, overdentures)
Abutment selection and connection types
Cement-retained restorations
Screw-retained restorations
Impression techniques
Practical Component
Hands-on training on implant models for flap design and suturing techniques
Demonstration and use of implant surgical instruments
Hands-on implant models for mastering drilling protocols, osteotomy preparation, placement angulation, and achieving primary stability
Live patient surgeries under supervision
(Two implant installations for each participant)

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

Target Audience
This course is intended for licensed graduate dentists holding a valid license issued by the Palestinian Ministry of Health, who wish to develop their theoretical knowledge and clinical skills in dental implantology.
Requirements
Successful completion of an entrance examination prior to enrollment and a module-based examination at the end of the course.
