PATH – Planning Active Transitions for Healthy Ageing – is a 30-month Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership in Adult Education (KA220-ADU), running from September 2025 to February 2028. The project supports people aged 55+ in staying active, curious, and connected through learning, mentoring, and real-life experiences. PATH promotes active ageing and lifelong learning while helping employers and policymakers build inclusive, age-friendly environments. It turns the later stages of life into a time of growth, confidence, and contribution — for individuals and for society. Through self-assessment, tailored training, mentoring, and learning-by-doing, participants explore their strengths and design personal pathways for career, learning, and social participation. At the same time, PATH works with employers to recognise experience, build intergenerational collaboration, and adapt workplaces to support longer, healthier working lives. The project also brings together research, best practices, and digital tools to make learning accessible and engaging. Its outcomes will include a methodological handbook and policy recommendations that help extend the approach to national and EU levels. By the end of the project, PATH will have created a transferable model for active ageing that strengthens well-being, supports workforce participation, and encourages social connection. In doing so, it aims to inspire employers, policymakers, and educators to make age-friendly change a lasting reality across Europe. PATH is implemented by a partnership of five organisations: Cogito Alapítvány (Hungary), Emphasys Centre (Cyprus), E-Seniors (France), Universidade da Madeira (Portugal), and Nord Universitet (Norway).
