The Nature Spa and its beautiful terraced farm and gardens is a sanctuary of peace. The program include well being weeks, as well as courses and workshops.

A magical sanctuary nestling between the Temple of the Moon and the Mountains of the Stars, currently still in construction but due to open to the public in 2026, with a wide range of discovery and well-being programs for all ages and interests Situated in the breathtaking Beira Alta region of central Portugal, in the foothills of the Serra da Estrela Mountains, Vale das Lobas consists of a Nature Spa Hotel, Riverside Restaurant, Glamping Park, an Eco-Village built from natural materials and a Nature Reserve. It will have 23 bedrooms, a restaurant serving super healthy food from the gardens, and a spa filled with healing water from the natural springs. The Glamping Park and Eco-Homes will be located by the river, close to the Restaurant, offering stays for short or long visits in nature and with delicious organic food farmed right in the riverbank. The valley already has land dedicated solely to the restauration and presevation of nature, with human intervention applied only for biodiversity improvement. Its area will grow more and more over the next years, creating the Biodiversity Parks. Good morning from Tony Conway, I am the founder of Vale das Lobas, a Nature Retreat and Eco-tourism resort in the heart of Lusitania, in the Beira Alta region of Portugal. It is a fully holistic project, and once it is open, it will provide healing retreats, corporate wellness experiences, and community gatherings, in alignment with the seasons, and following the ancestral traditions. This project is designed to guide visitors to return to a more connected way of living, in harmony with nature. The professional programmes on offer will be in the areas of natural medicine, natural building, regenerative farming, sacred arts, and traditional artisan crafts.

The company Vale das Lobas, Lda holds the assets, and its subsidiary company, Regeneration Villages, SA, will deliver the services. It is projected to create 50 new full-time employment positions in the coming 15 months. In line with this, Vale das Lobas is now raising equity through share distribution.

The Magic Garden will provide the foundation for our farm-to table restaurants. This year we have grown Sacred White Hopi Corn. You can see it is maturing nicely in these photos. The white corn is best for everyday use in tortillas

Why Vale das Lobas, or Valley of the She-Wolves?

The wolf family is a powerful symbol of a healthy community, living in harmony with Nature, where all are valued, from young to old. As the top predator, the wolf had a balancing influence on the grazers, and therefore on all aspects of the landscape, even the rivers and streams. We have lost this balanced connection with our own instinct, the powerful aspect of our nature that provides guidance.

Vale das Lobas is an ancient valley in the Beira Alta, that was once a sacred centre for the Neolithic peoples of Iberia, who were called the Lusitani, or “the light bearers”, by the Romans. Following centuries under a spell of forgetting, the magic of this sanctuary is being reawakened and activated, and perhaps, in time, the wolves will return….

Harvesting olives is almost magical. The trees share their abundance of fruits as we dress them with green nets, brush their hair and cut out their grey locks. It is really one of the experiences we want to share with you once we open to the public.
The whole experience of harvesting, celebrating this abundance, sharing this experience; savoring the oil at the Pub Restaurant.
