Voice Warm-Up for Meetings: Small Habits, Clearer Sound 🎙️💼
If your voice feels rough by midday, you’re not alone. A tiny warm-up can make meetings sound smoother.
Start with hydration, not force 💧🫗
Sip water before the first call. Dry air and rushed mornings make the throat work harder than it needs to.
Wake the voice gently 😌🎵
Try 20–30 seconds of soft humming or “mmmmm” at an easy pitch. The aim is vibration, not volume.
Breathe low, speak easy 🌬️🧘
Relax shoulders, breathe from the belly, and slow down slightly. Pushing to be “heard” is where strain sneaks in.
Swap throat-clearing for a reset 🚫🗣️
If you keep clearing your throat, sip water and swallow instead. It’s kinder on the vocal folds.
