📣The 3B's Research Group, I3Bs - Universidade do Minho, had a very strong participation at the TERMIS AP 2025 (Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society - Asia Pacific) annual conference.

The conference, held in Wuhan, China, joined more than 1600 attendees from more than 30 countries from all continents.

1️⃣Prof. Rui L. Reis was one of the 4 Plenary Lectures, with the others being from USA and China (2).
2️⃣Dr. Miguel Oliveira was a keynote speaker, invited speaker and session organiser.
3️⃣Dr. Subhas Kundu and Dr. Joana Correia were session organisers.
4️⃣Dr. Carlos Guimarães, Dr. Marta Casanova and César Casanova (PhD student) were speakers.

3B´s had the largest and most active delegation of any non AP country and received several distinctions and awards.
It is also important to reinforce that Prof. Rui L. Reis is a founder of TERMIS and acted as its global President and EU Chapter Chair during several years.

📢 Rui L. Reis as Plenary Speaker -AP 2025

As a recognition of the excellence of 3B's Research Group, I3Bs, University of Minho, under the leadership of Rui L. Reis, he had the distinction of participating at the TERMIS-AP Conference, from 16 to 19 October 2025, in Wuhan, China, as one of the Plenary Speakers with a talk intitled "New TERM Approaches Including Unique Platforms for Addressing Cell/Material Interactions to Improve Relevance of Complex 3D In Vitro Disease Models".

📢 3B´s Research excellence and entrepreneurship recognised in Asia-Pacific!

Marta Casanova, Junior researcher of the 3B´s Research Group, I3Bs - University of Minho, has been distinguished with one of the Best Oral Presentation Awards at the TERMIS AP 2025 (tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine Asia Pacific) annual conference. This award distinguishes the excellent research being conducted under the ONCOSCREEN (a EU Mission cancer project) and EngVIPO (a EU Marie Curie action) projects, led by Dr. Miguel Oliveira and Prof. Rui L. Reis.

The ONCO CTC technology under development in the context of the ONCOSCREEN project and its associated entrepreneurial project, which gathers the team members Miguel Oliveira, Rui L. Reis, Marta Casanova, Joana Correia, Raquel Maia and César Casanova has also been distinguished with one of the Excellence Innovation Prizes in the 2025 TERMIS AP Global Entrepreneurship Competition.

👏 This is great international recognition for the 3B´s Research Group, specially on its work on new cancer technologies and news cancer models! Well Done!
