27:38 10km | Boys Shine & Manthorpe Dropkicks the FLYCARB Record 🔥

Yesterday we saw how the FLYCARB fuelled girls shone, but the FLYCARB boys were not to be outdone.

How's a 27:38 10km for you? 🎯

Alfie Manthorpe was back in town and he meant business. The Hallamshire athlete ran a quite incredible 27:38, smashing the FLYCARB 10km record and becoming the third fastest British man in history. Wow 🤯

Whilst Alfie starred, the depth of quality across the FLYCARB racers was incredible. We saw six FLYCARB fuelled athletes go under 29 minutes. Six! And at current count, nearly 20 under 30.

A special shout out to Joe Tuffin, who sliced a massive chunk off his PB to run 28:25. But perhaps the biggest PB slash goes to Finley Proffitt, who went sub-30 for the first time with a new PB of 28:36. It is fair to say the 30-minute barrier was smashed to bits by the Trafford Express 🚄

A huge well done to all FLYCARBers who ran new bests.

We already know of around 40, so simply too many to mention 🤝

Valencia 10km: Here Come the Girls 🦸🏼‍♀️🥣

The Valencia 10km is probably the fastest road race on the planet.

In this year’s race, six FLYCARB-fuelled women went under 33 minutes, with three under 32, and six men dipped under 29:00. The race is, quite simply, a festival of speed 😮

In this post we focus on the girls, who, as Beyoncé says, run the world in Valencia today. Tune in tomorrow for a rapid run-down of the boys 🕺🏼

The Low-Down 📝

Leading the charge was . The former Team GB 800m runner clocked an incredible 30:55 to move up to 6th on the British all-time list, and in doing so broke the FLYCARB record 🏆

Not to be outdone, ran a superb 31:28 to become the fastest Northern Irish runner in history. Yet another record for one of the strongest and nicest people in the sport! 🎉

Next up, Lucy Jones. The Herne Hill hero showed she’s got the moves on and off the dancefloor, continuing her incredible vein of form by running 31:56 to break 32:00 for the first time and become the 31st fastest woman in British history ♥️🖤

There were so many outstanding FLYCARB-fuelled performances, but a special shout out goes to Jade Morgan, who ran 32:28. That’s a 90-second PB improvement in just 12 months 📈 Inspiring stuff. And to Yvie Lock, who sliced 35 seconds off her best to clock 32:33 🗡️

Last, but certainly not least, was Lizzie Wellsted. The U20 ran an incredible 32:44, making her the 4th fastest British junior of all time 🇬🇧

Valencia is characterised by an incredibly fast, lactic-inducing first mile, and it’s fair to say FLYCARBers used the full buffering power of BICARRB to hold on for home and smash their PBs 🥣

Alex Bell | 30:55 10km 🎉🎉🎉

Alex Bell continued her meteoric rise on the roads with a spectacular 30:55 (that’s 4:58 per mile!) at the Valencia 10km, making her the 6th fastest Brit of all time.

The Mizuno and FLYCARB athlete finished 11th at the undisputed “fastest race in the world”, and was 2nd European home, behind Eilish McColgan, who broke the European 10km record.

With this run, the former Olympic 800m runner has truly established herself among the world elite over 10km, showing she can handle six miles just as well as the half-mile.

Alex Bell | FNUL X Mizuno NYE 5km | 15:23 🏆

Yesterday, Alex Bell ended her sensational 2025 on a high, taking the Mizuno NYE 5km in a sparkling new PB of 15:23 🎉

The Mizuno and FLYCARB athlete brought the real fireworks to London, knocking 13 seconds off her previous best and bringing Battersea Park to life 🎇

Alex showed she really is the Queen of the Roads in the UK right now, but as always was gracious in victory, celebrating with her competitors and making time for everyone. They say never meet your heroes, but that couldn’t be less true with Alex 🦸‍♀️

Next up is the Valencia 10km, where she’ll be targeting her PB of 31:31 🎯

Matty Ramsden | Ribble Valley 10km Champion | 29:05

We saw yet another imperious run from Matty Ramsden this morning, as his fine form continues with a commanding win at the Ribble Valley 10km 🏆

The FLYCARB and Mizuno athlete claimed the Northern of England title for Blackburn Harriers, taking on, and beating, a top-class field in style.

We’re proud to support Matt with BICARRB, and we’ll be cheering him on as he earns his first senior Team GB cap at the World Cross Country Championships in Florida this January 🇬🇧

Pancho Panchev | European XC Champs 🇧🇬

FLYCARB favourite Pancho Panchev placed 81st at the European Cross Championships, making his debut for Bulgaria on the European stage.

Pancho has made huge progress in 2025, recording PBs across every distance and making a massive leap forward in cross country.

He ran a composed race in a stacked field, finishing as the first Bulgarian scorer.

We caught up with Pancho after the race to hear about his first experience at a major championship:

“I feel really proud to have qualified for the Euros and delighted with how the race went. It was definitely a race I learned a lot from, and I aim to be back next year fuelled by FLYCARB!”

🎄Last Orders for Christmas Eve Delivery 🎄

Our cut off for delivery before Christmas is midnight tonight (Monday 22).

UK orders placed before then using Royal Mail 24 should land in time for the big day.

We will be packing and posting every day apart from Christmas Day... fuelled by BICARRB and a worrying number of selection boxes.
