“The Truth About Humanity: How We Can Do Better Together”

The truth about our kind is both beautiful and flawed. We are capable of immense love, creativity, and compassion, yet we often falter, hurtful words, overlooked kindness, and missed chances shadow our potential.

This is not the end of the story. Every misstep is an invitation to rise, to see ourselves more clearly, and to choose better.

We can do better, not as an abstract ideal, but in the small, daily acts of understanding, patience, and courage. We can lift each other, listen without judgment, and honour the shared humanity that connects us all. Our kind is not defined by perfection, but by the willingness to grow, to learn, and to reach beyond what we’ve been.

The truth is that we are capable of so much more, and the moment we acknowledge it, change begins.

How Much Power Do People Really Have Over You? (The Truth About Your Mind)

The Level of Power

The level of power people have over you
is never about them.

It is about the space your mind creates for them to exist within you.

Power is not taken.
It is allowed.
Given quietly, often unconsciously through attention, fear, attachment, or the need for approval.

The moment your thoughts start orbiting around someone else’s opinions,
their presence grows.
Not in reality but inside you.

And that’s where it matters most.

Because the mind does not measure truth,
it measures focus.

So whoever you think about the most,
whoever you replay, justify, fear, or try to please,
becomes powerful.

Not because they are stronger,
but because your awareness is feeding them.

The shift is subtle, but life-changing:

Withdraw the attention.
Reclaim the narrative.
Return to yourself.
Not in anger.
Not in resistance.
But in quiet authority.

Because real power is not control over others,
it is the ability to choose who lives rent-free in your mind.

And who doesn’t.

Happiness isn’t always in big moments.

Sometimes it’s in the smell of morning coffee ☕, a deep breath 🌿, or a kind word from someone.

O medo do desconhecido

Existe possibilidade.

L’inconnu n’offre aucune garantie.
Aucune issue claire.

The Fear of the Unknown

There is something deeply human about fearing what we can not see.

The unknown holds no guarantees.
No clear outcomes.
No sense of control.

And so the mind begins to fill in the gaps,
with doubt, with worst-case scenarios, with stories designed to keep us safe.

But often, what we fear is not the unknown itself

it’s the loss of control, the loss of certainty, the loss of who we think we are within what’s familiar.

We cling to what we know, even when it no longer feels right, because at least it’s predictable.

Yet, every meaningful change in life begins in the unknown.
Every new path, every transformation, every version of yourself you haven’t met yet
 lives there.

Fear isn’t a sign to stop.
It’s a sign that you are standing at the edge of something new.

The question is not how to eliminate the fear but whether you are willing to move forward with it.

Because on the other side of the unknown is not just uncertainty

It’s a possibility.

And sometimes, the life you are meant to live is waiting just beyond the moment you decide to trust what you can not yet see.

The Illusion of Safety

Safety is something we all seek.
It’s natural. It’s human.

But sometimes
what we call “safety” isn’t safety at all.
It’s familiarity.

We stay in places that no longer nourish us.
We hold onto patterns that quietly drain us.
We avoid change, convincing ourselves that staying where we are is the safer option.

But is it?

Because real safety doesn’t come from staying small.
It doesn’t come from silencing parts of yourself just to keep things stable.
And it doesn’t come from avoiding the unknown.

That’s not safety.
That’s fear
 dressed as protection.

The illusion of safety whispers:
“Stay here. At least you know this.”

But what it doesn’t say is:

“You’re also choosing to remain where you’re not growing.”

Growth will always feel uncertain.
Change will always carry risk.
But so does staying the same.

There is no true safety in a life that asks you to abandon yourself.

Real safety is internal.
It’s trusting that wherever you go, you will meet yourself there with strength, awareness, and resilience.

So the question becomes:

Are you truly safe

or just comfortable in what you already know?

Deciding Not to Choose Is Still a Choice

There’s a quiet illusion that many of us live by—the idea that if we don’t choose, we’re somehow avoiding the consequences.

But the truth is, not choosing is a choice in itself.

When we stay in the same place, delay a decision, or wait for the “right moment,” we are actively choosing comfort over change, familiarity over growth, and sometimes fear over possibility.

It doesn’t always look like fear.
Sometimes, it looks like patience.
Sometimes, it feels like protection.
And sometimes
it disguises itself as “I’m just not ready yet.”

And yes—there are moments when not choosing is wise.
When stillness is necessary.
When we need space to breathe, to feel, to understand.

But there’s a difference between intentional stillness and quiet avoidance.

One creates clarity.
The other keeps us stuck.

Life doesn’t pause while we hesitate.
Time continues. Opportunities shift. Paths close and new ones open—but only if we’re willing to move.

So if you find yourself in a place of “not choosing,” ask yourself gently:

Am I giving myself space

or am I holding myself back?

Because even in stillness, you are shaping your path.

Choose consciously.

Blue & Earth Fusion

“Between Worlds”

Where the sky meets soil, this piece becomes a bridge between the seen and the felt. Cool blues and warm earth tones intertwine, symbolising the balance between expansion and grounding.

A portal of reflection, it encourages you to exist fully anchored in truth, yet open to transformation.

Traditional Aboriginal healer

Traditional Aboriginal healing is as old as the culture itself. Over a long time Aboriginal healers built a body of knowledge based on the resources they found on the land.

But while Australia is recognised as having “advanced policy development and support for traditional medicine”, this is not because of Aboriginal healing, it’s because of the official embrace of Chinese medicine. Simply put, Aboriginal traditional medicine has not been researched a lot.

In the Anangu Pitjintjatjara Yangkunjatjara (APY) lands in northern South Australia traditional health knowledge is still alive and well, and working in a contemporary setting. The Elders who are working as healers are called Ngangkari, a Pitjantjatjara word that literally means ‘traditional healer’. In the Flinders Ranges they are called Yura urngi in the Adnyamathanha language.
