In collaboration with the Champalimaud Foundation / Fundação Champalimaud, we welcomed more than 100 8th-grade students for the second phase of Ciência di Noz Manera (CNM). 🙌🥼🔬
Now in its 5th edition, CNM is a science mentoring programme that runs from February to June, aiming to promote scientific curiosity, confidence, and empowerment among students from underserved communities in Greater Lisbon.
In this second phase, students and teachers had the opportunity to experience the research environment and take part in hands-on activities led by more than 60 volunteers from both institutions.
From strawberry DNA extraction to fluorescent bacteria, it was a morning full of activities that sparked laughter, curiosity, and truly memorable moments that will stay with us, and hopefully with them too! 💜

Em colaboração com a Fundação Champalimaud, recebemos mais de 100 alunos do 8.º ano para a segunda fase do Ciência di Noz Manera (CNM). 🙌🥼🔬
Atualmente na sua 5.ª edição, o CNM é um programa de mentorias de ciência que decorre entre fevereiro e junho, com o objetivo de promover a curiosidade científica, a confiança e a capacitação de estudantes de comunidades desfavorecidas da Grande Lisboa.
Nesta segunda fase, alunos e professores tiveram a oportunidade de conhecer o ambiente da investigação e participar em atividades práticas dinamizadas por mais de 60 voluntários das duas instituições.
Do ADN extraído de morangos às bactérias fluorescentes, vivemos uma manhã repleta de atividades que trouxeram gargalhadas, perguntas curiosas e momentos únicos, que certamente ficarão na nossa memória e esperamos que também na deles! 💜
