KAICIID The International Dialogue Centre (KAICIID) The Centre also combats all forms of discrimination based on culture, religion or belief.

KAICIID is an intergovernmental organization whose mandate is to promote the use of dialogue globally to prevent and resolve conflict, to enhance understanding and cooperation. KAICIID’s mandate is to foster dialogue among people of different religions and cultures to build bridges and instil mutual respect. Intercultural and interreligious dialogue helps build communities’ resistance against prejudice, strengthens social cohesion, supports conflict prevention, and can serve to preserve peace. As an international organization, KAICIID supports the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, in particular the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion. We implement programmes to overcome stereotypes in a long-term process that leads to a culture of dialogue that enables greater understanding of people of other cultures and followers of other religions.

🌍 KAICIID joined global leaders, policymakers, and experts in 🇹🇳

On 17 November, Ambassador António de Almeida Ribeiro, the Acting Secretary General, represented at the International Symposium on “Strengthening the Role of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) in Promoting International Peace and Security,” hosted at the Diplomatic Academy by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of , in cooperation with and .

Bringing together more than 100 ambassadors, diplomats, policymakers, academics, and experts, the symposium explored how civilizational diplomacy, intercultural dialogue, and stronger multilateral cooperation can advance peace and collective resilience.

The discussions contributed to the ongoing preparations for the 11th UNAOC Global Forum ( , December 2025) and offered a valuable platform for exchanging insights and best practices among international stakeholders.

This week, KAICIID is proud to co-host the Ethics Education Fellowship Workshop in partnership with IDFP – Interfaith Dialogue Forum for Peace and Arigatou International. Bringing together 23 dedicated educators from religious schools, IDP camp settings, and basic schools across Nigeria, the workshop focuses on one essential goal: fostering ethics education, safe and empowering learning spaces for children and educators alike.
During the opening, Malaz Yousif, KAICIID Program Officer for Africa, emphasized the power of ethics education to nurture dignity, dialogue, and resilience, particularly in communities shaped by displacement and uncertainty.
“At a time when children are being kidnapped from the very places meant to protect them, we must recommit to ensuring our classrooms are sanctuaries, places of vigilance, trust and compassion.”

KAICIID at the G20 Interfaith Forum (IF20) | “Ubuntu in Action: Focus on Vulnerable Communities” – , 🇿🇦

As the G20 Leaders’ Summit (22–23 November) concludes, we take this moment to highlight KAICIID’s contribution to one of the key parallel engagement platforms — the G20 (IF20).

Held in Cape Town from 10–14 August 2025, IF20 brought together , development institutions, , and civil society partners to explore shared solutions for vulnerable communities under the theme “Ubuntu in Action.”

On 18 November, the Champions gathered for an energising third session focused on practical skills, real case studies, and honest reflections on what it takes to lead in complex environments.

The session opened with an immersive segment on facilitation skills and active listening, led by Elena Dini, offering participants hands-on tools to navigate challenging conversations with clarity and confidence.

Participants then explored inspiring / initiatives presented by Fellows, including:
