The legacy is strong. The will to succeed has never been greater. There is a never-ending wish to capture international attention. There is an indescribable force impelling us to invest in the Science of tomorrow. And yet, our goal hasn't changed one bit - we want medical students to be aware of the scientific innovations of the present so that they can make the best out of their knowledge in the future. What's more, we want them to get involved in research works that will, in the long turn, reveal something hitherto unknown, changing worldwide perceptions of Science. By nature, medical students are driven by an insatiable curiosity. All the knowledge they seek for is never enough. And not everything they learn comes in books. It is important to explore other paths, to take alternative roads, to dare to take one step ahead. There is a voice in our heads telling us that future doctors can make all the difference. And they may not know it yet, but their journey is about to begin. The iMED Conference® is on its way to becoming the perfect springboard for brilliant, young minds. Science already holds the ticket to Portugal in its hands. Will you join us?

iEXPERT | Advanced Medical Training

🩺 iExpert is a hands-on training program designed for residents in specialty training, aiming to elevate medical knowledge and technical proficiency to the highest standards of excellence.

Throughout the day, participants will take part in practical workshops, mostly cadaver-based, providing a unique learning experience focused on improving technical precision and strengthening clinical decision-making skills.

Organized in collaboration with NOVA Medical School’s Advanced Education and with the scientific support of ULS de São José, the program brings together leading experts to ensure high-quality training in a dynamic and highly specialized learning environment.

📍 Location: NOVA Medical School – Carcavelos Campus

Participants will receive a certificate issued by NOVA Medical School’s Advanced Education.

🧠 CLINICAL MIND COMPETITION | Step up to the challenge

The Clinical Mind Competition (CMC) is back to test your clinical knowledge, diagnostic reasoning, and quick thinking.

This competition is divided into two stages:

1️⃣ Warm-Up — iMed Summit
Participants will face 2 clinical cases, each with 9 multiple-choice questions, answered individually through a smartphone app.

2️⃣ Main Event — iMed Conference
The final stage will feature 3 clinical cases, challenging participants to apply their clinical reasoning in a fast-paced competitive environment.

The iPitch Competition is back and this year we’re raising the bar.

Designed to challenge your public speaking, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, iPitch invites you to present an innovative and structured solution to a real medical challenge, in front of a jury at the main event of iMed Conference 18.0.

This edition features two distinct tracks:

🔬 Research Internship
🏥 Clinical Internship
