Patients with a history of a**l condylomas have a high risk of a**l cancer. The prevalence of high-risk HPV and precancerous lesions in a**l condylomas from immunocompromised patients is high.

The number of cases of IASCC was significantly lower in persons with HIV engaged in an a**l cytology screening program. These results should be validated in a randomized clinical trial.
